For Fendi’s 90th anniversary, Karl Lagerfeld went all out. ALL OUT. With a plexiglass runway spanning the Trevi Fountain, models literally walked on water showcasing the Fall 2016 couture pieces made mostly of fur.
Models such as Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid glided across the water showcasing the Fall 2016 looks which were very princess-like and resembled frocks from a bygone, fairy tale era. It is runway shows like this that confirm that couture is truly an art. Not many people understand it and many downplay it as ridiculous, expensive, too-abstract and gaudy…but the craftsmanship and creativity is second to none. Beautiful.
