We were fortunate enough to get out of town and spend a little time on beautiful Lac Minerve in Mont Tremblant, Québec for the long weekend last week. We were especially fortunate to be invited to Ryan’s good buddy’s “cottage” for the long weekend…a sprawling cottage mansion with creature comforts that I didn’t even know existed!
Ryan had been several times already but it was my first…and I was stunned. When Ryan pulled into the long winding driveway, and we were greeted by a 15-foot totem pole, I had thought that Ryan took a wrong turn. Nope. That’s just their family totem pole!
Our weekend was marked with fabulous dinners that we took turns making, group lunches, laughs on the dock, fishing, horseshoes, corn hole (a really fun game with a very unfortunate name), and cruising around the lake on their beautiful houseboat. Sigh…
Here are a few pics from our awesome weekend!
Cannot wait for our next visit. The summer is not long enough at all!
Thanks for reading!

Haha! The cottage was decorated beautifully. Our friend’s mom did most of the decorating herself. She’s a real whiz at it! Thanks for reading, Ashley!

Thank you! Lac Minerve here at Mont Tremblant is an oasis!! The foggy mornings were especially beautiful!
Nice, glad you had fun!
What a beautiful home! The totem pole is very cool. I would love to visit Canada one day, it seems very picturesque.

Canada really is! We have oceans, lakes, rivers by the thousands, mountains and valleys, prairies and tundra, and beautiful, cosmopolitan cities full of friendly people! Come on up! LOL!
Lol I think I’ll have to plan a trip soon! One of my co-workers is from there and already has me thinking about visiting Vancouver, Toronto, & Montreal. I can only imagine how many other wonderful places there are to see!
Author
There are tons, but start with those cities…and try to go in the summer! LOL! I would start with Vancouver. It’s just too beautiful over there. Then Montréal – it’s like Little France. Once you are done there, skip on over to Ottawa – our beautiful capital – and then Toronto, which we lovingly refer to as Little New York. LOL! Have fun!
Thanks for the tips! Definitely on my list for next summer 🙂 Interested in Toronto as a native New Yorker lol
