I’m not going to lie – I’ve been feeling a little overwhelmed lately (maybe a lot overwhelmed). My new job is leaving me exhausted and I SEVERELY underestimated how much work a little puppy would be. I find myself completely wiped with frayed nerves at just about the end of every night.
Instead of picking up yet another glass of rosé in order to relax, I decided to put on my favourite new suit and head out for lunch with my pal Alyssa. She suggested that we hit up her beautiful and wonderfully deserted rooftop terrace and soak up the sun.

It was nice to just forget everything for a little bit – no puppy training, no social media and no overwhelming need to get everything done immediately. You see, balancing everything has been a big, fat fail for me lately and I was starting to feel rundown. Luckily for me, I can see the signs early and develop a plan to get back on track.
In addition to meeting Alyssa for some good laughs, I took a step back from everything and headed to Toronto to meet my sister. Full disclosure here: I did have a few meetings to tend to, but they were super fun and didn’t feel like work! Just hanging out with my little sissy after her long trip to Australia made me feel reconnected again and lowered those anxiety levels.
On the most basic level, this happy, pink suit makes me feel, well…happy! The colour screams “Spring!!” and the blazer is such a flattering cut. It feels pretty effortless chic too, which is straight up my alley. Trust me, after chasing after a Bernedoodle for two straight months, you start to care a little less about how you look. #dogmomlife
Now, now that I’m back on a more consistent blogging schedule and have organized my life a bit better, I’m looking forward to heading into summer and creating some more awesome diary entries – hopefully tied directly to happy outfits.
