A Laid-Back Way To Wear Pink For Spring

Over the past couple of years, I have accumulated an overwhelming amount of pink in my wardrobe. Not surprising as I am the self-professed Queen of Girly Girls.

On this slightly warm day, I decided to pull out a favourite boiled wool moto jacket that I picked up during my last trip to London. I was attracted to its soft petal pink colour and classic moto jacket lines. The boiled wool was also soft and cozy. Definitely a great investment from All Saints.

The key to keeping this look fresh and modern-feeling, and not cupcake-y was to pair it with laid-back favourites such as my well-loved Levi’s Wedgie Jeans and winter white sweater from Heartloom that I found while cleaning out my closet – the treasures you find! The Gucci Marmont crossbody purse in a vintage print pulls everything together and gives this look a little edge.

I wore this outfit during a shopping day in Toronto, and it keep me warm enough during that early March day, yet wasn’t bulky at all (see ya, winter layers). It allowed me to be the coolest girly girl I could be while happily boutique hopping in one of my fave cities.

Such a pretty and fun casual outfit! I like to call it “blush” lol. I hate pink anything, especially that soft dry dull pink BUTTTT I do like the blush versions and they do compliment darker skin tones for sure. It is so dark and rainy in Chicago right now, it is nice to see some spring into fun wear on you Lady …. but at least the day light lasts longer now! XO

    So cool.

Blush colors like these are so relaxing and calming.

People approach me a lot more when I wear blush colors too, perhaps they feel relaxed and non-threatened?

Thank you, Gary! I bet blush is gorgeous on you! Guys need to be less afraid of it. And I wish we had an All Saints where I live. I always have to return to the Motherland (England) to enjoy the store or road trip it to Toronto. LOL! Take care and have a great weekend!
