MAC Shadescents

Ahhhh perfume! It’s one of my favourite things in this world and testing new ones makes my heart sing. I haven’t treated myself to any new scents in a while as life has pretty much been consumed with redecorating our office. While that has been loads of fun, I want to get back to building my scent collection with memorable fragrances that make me happy each time I sniff them.

Well, these lovely MAC Shadescents, a collection of fine perfumes and matching iconic lipsticks, couldn’t have debuted at a better time! I guess MAC‘s ears were burning as just a few weeks ago I was having a chat with my sister Erika about how excited we were years ago when MAC debuted one of their first fragrances Turquatic, which I bought for her as a little gift. I had made a mental note to swing by the MAC store and check out their latest fragrances during my next restock of favourite products.

MAC Shadescents

MAC Shadescents, their latest collection, does not disappoint. The new collection is comprised of six new perfumes which are inspired by MAC‘s top, iconic lipstick shades such as Lady Danger, Ruby Woo (a personal fave), My Heroine (the perfect matte purple), Candy Yum Yum (the best pink lipstick ever made), Velvet Teddy and Crème d’Nude.

I am the proud new owner two new ShadescentsRuby Woo and My Heroine. I have been wearing both on repeat over the past couple of weeks, alternating each perfume depending on my mood. Ruby Woo, a delightfully bold and woody floral also has notes of strong leather. I reach for this one when I’m feeling saucy and flirty – lol! My Heroine on the other hand is a very sensual scent with notes of saffron, incense smoke and cordovan leather. It is quite literally intoxicating. I reach for this one when I’m feeling classic, romantic and want to tantalize the hubby. TMI, I know. While both perfumes are lovely, My Heroine has proven to be my favourite, but I’m a sucker for spicy, oud-ish scents and this one reminds me of the quaint little perfume shops I frequented during trips to Paris and Rome.

MAC Shadescents are currently available online and in-stores. Swing by a MAC Cosmetics store, test out the lovely collection (Crème d’Nude is also a favourite) and find out your Shadescent today! #IAmRubyWoo #IAmMyHeroine
