When I saw that ALEX AND ANI was debuting a “Numerology Collection”, I was excited. I have a great interest in symbolism, and quickly popped into the store to check out this collection devoted to the mystical relationship between numbers and coinciding events.
During the launch of the collection, ALEX AND ANI offers all customers free numerology readings – known as “Personal Blueprint Features”. I happily provided my full name and watched as a sales associate assigned numerical values to each letter of my name. It was determined that my special number is “4”.
So, what does this mean, exactly? Well, the number “4” signifies trust, groundedness and precision. It is also the number of the builder. Builders are people who embody strength of mind and love tradition. Down to earth, practical and detail-oriented, builders strive for security and love planning, hard work and discipline. They live their lives by the notion that “if you’re confident, everything will fall into place.” Well, this pretty much sums me up – except for the practical part. I’ve been known to wear ridiculous shoes in the snow, bought a fluorescent green backpack “just because”, and thought it was a good idea to take 18 pairs of shoes on my last trip to Toronto.
