Clinique has recently launched a great new product: Moisture Surge Hydrating Supercharged Concentrate. Now, I’ll admit that I’ve only added concentrates and serums to my skincare regime a little while ago. After testing a few out at the conception of my blog, I’ve become a loyal devotee.
What Is A Concentrate Anyway?
To preface this beauty review, a concentrate is similar to a serum: both are usually light skincare products which are applied to the face after cleansing. They are typically used to boost powerful hydration and moisturization properties directly to skin. This is possible as a concentrate’s molecules are generally smaller than those of facial moisturizers and can penetrate the skin more easily. This in turn reduces the signs of sun damage and aging faster.
How Does Clinique’s New Concentrate Work?
Let me tell you…when I received this product, it was so pretty with its pale pink colour that I actually didn’t want to use it!! The way the light filtered through the little globules suspended in the formulation was so pleasing, I actually really enjoyed photographing it! But we all know how great Clinique is, so I got to testing asap.
The concentrate is ultra-light. Completely water-based, it’s highly moisturizing and made my skin glow. Like, it literally beamed. After using morning and night for about a week, my skin was uber soft…and I’m all about soft skin. I wish I had this during the winter too as it pretty much banished the dryness that I sometimes experience around my mouth area.
It also felt really cool and soothing to apply. This will be great for summer!
Who Would Benefit The Most From This Clinique Concentrate?
This is suitable for all skin types. It’s particularly great for dry skin though. Thanks to its ultra-light formula, anyone can really benefit from this concentrate loaded with anti-oxidants. I found it plumped my skin too, so this would be great for those looking to minimize fine lines. Don’t forget to apply to your neck too!
The Verdict
I loved this product! Those with oily skin like myself could totally get away with using this as a moisturizer before bed. This is a lovely addition to any skincare routine for all skin types. Bonus? It doesn’t break the bank at $39 either. Great product…and looks so pretty on the vanity too!

Oh I have seen this in stores a few times and I really want it! It is so pretty with the pink color as well.
I haven’t seen this! And I love Clinique i recently use the dramatically different gel moisturizer because it’s perfect for my combination to oily skin. I’m so going to look for this serum

I have to admit that I hadn’t used it in a while too, although I wear their Almost Lipstick in Black Honey all the time. I also use their Cheek Pop blush which is awesome. They also have one of the best mascaras on the market – Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara. Sounds silly, but it’s AWESOME!
