How To Get Your Best Eyebrows: Charlotte Tilbury’s BROWFORMATION

I recently received a set of Charlotte Tilbury’s eyebrow products in the mail to sample, and they couldn’t have come at a better time. My brows definitely needed a “browformation” due to a botched waxing job courtesy of yours truly. Sigh…

Me checking my eyebrows…CONSTANTLY

I have been patiently waiting for them to grow back in, refusing to pluck or stress over them at all. Trust me – that is easier said than done now that my right eyebrows seems to have taken a permanent vacation.

Charlotte Tilbury Browformation

One of my favourite makeup lines ever, Charlotte Tilbury never fails to disappoint. I have been using the eyebrow products for the past three weeks now and my eyebrows truly look more “supermodel-like”, and less sad and unhappy. So, what did I receive to try out, you ask? Read on!

BROWFORMATION Essentials:

  1. Brow Lift Three-Way Shape Tool in Naomi
  2. Legendary Brows Quick & Precise Brow Definition Brush & Gel
  3. The Retoucher Conceal & Perfect Conceal & Treat Stick
  4. Full Fat Lashes 5 Star Mascara in Glossy Black

Brow Lift Three-Way Shape Tool

Firstly, let’s talk about the Brow Lift Three-Way Shape Tool. This is the BEST eyebrow pencil that I have ever used. It features a slanted pencil tip for easy application and better control. The “Naomi” colour is a rich espresso brown which offers a softer, more natural look than black and complements my skin nicely. The formula, while soft, is still a bit waxy which helps fill in the sparse areas without wearing off throughout the day. The lasting power of the product is stellar. Trust me – it lasted beautiful throughout a day of sweating on a Barbados beach and swimming in the ocean.

A little surprise that this tool offers too is a beautiful highlighter! WOW! The pale champagne tone is universally flattering. I use it almost daily to highlight my brow bone or in the corners of my eyes to open them up! The applicator is a rounded sponge which makes application easy.

Legendary Brows Quick & Precise Brow Definition Brush & Gel

Next up is the Legendary Brows Brush & Gel. This has become a surefire go-to in my arsenal. I have thich and wiry eyebrows (thanks, Dad), so I would normally use Maybelline’s clear mascara to keep them in place. Unfortunately, this product features a full-sized mascara brush which made application messy and a bit clumpy.

The Legendary Brows brush is much smaller and way easier to use. You have much better control due to the shorter wand and smaller brush, and the gel dries clear and keeps wayward hairs in place. Additionally, the product dries softly and isn’t crunchy at all.

Legendary Brows is also available in tinted versions which offer a bit of natural colour definition to those with sparse or very pale eyebrows.

The Retoucher Conceal & Perfect Conceal & Treat Stick

Next up is the Retoucher Conceal & Perfect Conceal & Treat Stick. This is similar to others on the market. This product is offered in 10 different colours ranging from very fair to very deep. The colour that best suits my skin tone is 07-Medium Dark and 08-Medium Dark. Both colours brighten my under eye area very well with its light formula. The product features a twist-up pen applicator, and provides medium coverage. It’s not the best suited for covering up blemishes, very dark areas or dark sunspots as it isn’t heavy enough – but I like the formula, especially for summer weather.

This formulation contains a derivative of black tea rich in vitamins to deliver increased hydration to the delicate undereye area. I apply the product using the brush and then pat the product lightly into the undereye area to blend. The coverage is light and natural, and I do feel my skin is softer after using. I love this particular concealer and definitely plan to repurchase.

Full Fat Lashes 5 Star Mascara

Lastly, we have Charlotte Tilbury’s Full Fat Lashes 5 Star Mascara in Glossy Black. While I like the mascara quite a bit, it isn’t my favourite, only because I feel it is a great mascara for “daytime”. I admit that I gravitate towards heavier and thick formulations that really plump up my lashes and make them look uber long.

Those who prefer a more natural look should definitely buy this mascara. It does lengthen and most certainly separates the lashes beautifully. I LOVE that is gives your lashes a soft and feathery look too. I have used it for several events and applied about 18 coats to really give a dramatic effect – haha! But really, this mascara is perfect for natural daytime looks.

The Verdict

A true Charlotte Tilbury loyalist, I would happily recommend each of these products to anyone. The standouts for sure though are the Brow Lift Three-Way Shape Tool and the Legendary Brows Brush & Gel. Both products are stellar, easy to use and provide great results. The last two products are for those who love natural, dewy looks and who love to apply their makeup in a pinch.

Of note, the Brow Lift Three-Way Shape Tool offers real bang for the buck. LOVE IT!

Are you a diehard Charlotte Tilbury fan too? Tried any of these products? Let me know in the comments!

This is so fantastic! I am crazy about how my brows look too! I do love that I recently got my brows microbladed — but I still like to fill it in with a little color and I appreciate your recommendations!
