Found! A Great Serum For All Skin Types: Alumience A.G.E

Upon my return from my big trip, I tested out AlumierMD’s latest offering: Alumience A.G.E. This serum is designed to help skin protect itself against environmental aggressors like pollution. I was game. My skin was a bit of a nightmare after Spain. Too much sun, too much cured ham, too much cava…you name it.

I took a little break from using my regular skincare regimen and gave this a whirl. AlumierMD is known for pumping out great products and after a few weeks, this one proved to be no different.

Alumience A.G.E. features a bunch of “hero ingredients” such as:

  • amino acids (repairs sun damage);
  • tetrahexydecyl ascorbate (hello chemistry class – a powerful antioxidant); and
  • tocopherol acetate -a heavy duty moisturizer.

So, what is A.G.E. exactly? Advanced glycation end products. Okayyyy. I’m no chemist, so I looked this up. Turns out A.G.Es are environmental stressors that wreak havoc on your skin. Sun, pollution, oxidation, dryness, you name it. This product is formulated to repair this type of damage.

The results? Well, after a few weeks of using this serum, I did notice that my skin felt a little softer and looked clearer. My skin tone looked a little brighter too. I was pretty diligent about using this morning and night, and I felt it paid off. The unevenness I experienced after sitting in the sun in Spain was quite reduced.

Alumience A.G.E.’s formulation is light and smooth. It feels cool in temperature when applied to the face and neck, and has a really nice slip. Over this past year, I’ve used oily serums, chunky serums, thick serums and runny serums, and this one has a really nice, perfect consistency. It has a light scent that is somewhat “chemical-like”, but that dries down quickly.

This product is on the pricey side at $145, but it is top-notch and physician-grade. The nice thing about this brand is that it is only found in select doctor’s offices, medispas and online at www.alumiermd.com. While it may not be as easily accessible as those found in drugstores, its ingredients are excellent, and AlumierMD’s products are sold to you by licensed professionals. The major advantage of this last point is that trained professionals can tailor a suite of AlumierMD products specifically for your skin type. No more winging it and hoping for the best when buying expensive products at the drugstore or department store!

I’ve been a regular user of AlumierMD’s products for the past couple of years now and stand behind this brand. Have you had a chance to try it out? What are your thoughts? Drop them in the comments!

    Any tips on how to get the last drops out?
    With the plastic/ toothpaste like tubes you can just cut them in half and use a finger to get the remnants- with this I can’t see a sensible way in ….

      I’m sorry, Amanda. I know those containers can be frustrating. I have no idea how to get the last drops out!
