The 2015 Met Gala took place last night and it did not disappoint. In fact, I think the fashion this year was the best I’ve seen in a really long time. It was a gorgeous, fun mix of good, bad and crazy looks. Thank you Katy Perry and Solange Knowles for taking crazy chances and not showing up in your typical, perfect cream puff dresses. Well done! And Beyoncé and Jennifer Lopez – thank you for being the most beautiful creatures on Earth!!! #girlcrush
Here are my favourite looks for your viewing pleasure!
Beyoncé in custom GivenchyKillin’ em dead!!!Rihanna in Guo PeiKim Kardashian in Roberto CavalliKerri Russell in Altuzarra – I love this.Lily Aldridge – sweet and dreamyBrie Larson, Courtney Eaton and Annabelle Wallis in D&G. I love everything that’s happening in this pic.Lady Gaga in Balenciaga. Can I be Lady Gaga for just one day, please??Jennifer Lopez in Versace Atelier. Too sexy for her own good! WOW.Kerry Washington is a pink silk confection in PradaKarolina Kurkova in Tommy Hilfiger. Stunning – love the length!Janelle Monae can do no wrong in my eyes.Zoe Kravitz in Alexander Wang. She looks like a super fashionable extra from Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome.Joan Smalls in Roberto Cavalli. Love all this purple craziness.Cara Delevigne in Stella McCartney. Love the fake tattoos, love how comfortable this outfit looks, love the black silk – well done.Kristen Wiig in Prabal Gurung. GorgeousGeorgia May Jagger in Gucci. Love the mix of lavender and teal, and that is some serious embroidery.Gabrielle Union in Zac Posen. Not the most adventurous or special look – but that colour on her is gorgeous. She looks amazing.
…and now for the bad….
Solange Knowles in Giles. I love Solange’s fashion risks, and that’s all I’ll say about this. *side glance*Good God, Kris Jenner!! Balmain atrocity. So red, so gold, so harsh!Katy Perry in Moschino. Don’t get me wrong – I kinda like this! Maybe it’s her Pat Benatar hair that’s throwing me off.Chloé Sévigny in God knows what. Horrendous.Anne Hathaway in Ralph Lauren. This colour does nothing for her. It looks like shiny peanut butter. Too bad – she’s gorgeous.Last but not least, SJP in custom H&M and Phillip Treacy hat. I have no words.
Please let me know of your favourite looks from the 2015 Met Gala in the comments section. I really loved this year’s fashions! Even the bad were awesome!

LOL – I loved your roundup! I have to agree with most of your picks. Rihanna, Keri Russell, and Janelle Monae are my faves. Gabrielle Union wasn’t adventurous, but she looked stunning.
Only o e that appealed to me was Janelle Monae. The rest to me looked hideous. And don’t even get me started on that thing Sarah Jessica Parker was wearing on her head. WTF?!
Haha! I would never wear a dress like Beyoncé’s but only she could wear something like that. She looked like a caramel golden dream. I can’t stand Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen. To me, they look like ghoulish little old ladies. No thanks! LOL!
Haha I think that’s why I love them, they’ve gone from cute Tweens to these gothic moguls. I didn’t mind the dress I think it was the hair it just seem too much, but she is Queen B for a reason Lol
I agree! I wanna know what’s under that fab yellow cape/coat! Did you know that she apparently googled Chinese Couture and found that coat that was made by three Chinese women and took two years to complete???? DANG.
Zendaya had my favorite look that night! She always dresses so age appropriate but still looks absolutely beautiful and just sexy enough to go overboard… Like Kylie!
If I was going to the Met gala, I’d definitely be there to play, so I don’t understand when people go and do not dress the part. You are going to the Met Gala, not a wedding! Have fun with it! Yes, I definitely loved a lot of the looks, especially the over the top ones.
I think a lot of celebrities are egomaniacs and just want to look the “best” out of everyone, hence the somewhat boring, ultra perfect gowns… Not enough of them have the self-confidence to do something fun, which is a shame!

Shiny peanut butter. Ha! And I almost like SJP’s.

HAHAHAH! I feel the same way about SJP. Good on her for taking that “risk”.
Zendaya looked gorgeous also!

Oooh! I missed her!
Can I just say… Joe Manganiello .. after I saw him I don’t think I payed attention to anything else

HAHAHAH! Love Janelle Monae – she’s so fresh and original! Poor SJP. Don’t get me started on that thing on her head.
Janelle is classic gorgeous.
Sorry but I have to disagree about Beyonce, it was all too much haha, but did you see Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, they looked fierce!

I agree. Bey’s hair was ridiculous. As for MK and Ashley, I do completely respect their business acumen. Amazing!
Anne Hathaway & Beyonce are my number ones.
Wish I could have seen more of Rihannas outfit.

I read that somewhere too!
I said lord….now you DEFINITELY could have shown it off more…

Hahahaha!!! God. Rihanna is just….*speechless* ….too beautiful.
I liked Kerri Russell and Karolina Kurkova. Of course I also would have loved to see the inside of Rihana”s cape, Let me know if you find out!

Thanks Asa! I didn’t monitor it closely, just the aftermath. Lol!

Haha! Kylie could learn a thing or two about being a lady from Miss Zendaya. She did look absolutely beautiful that night!
i think Kerri Russell and Gabrielle Union looked the prettiest. They weren’t very adventurous, but they looked lovely.
