SD Beauty Review: Clinique Cheek Pop Blush in Cola Pop

Hi all!

The weather has officially warmed up, flowers are blooming, birds are chirping…a sure sign that summer is almost here!

With the warmer weather comes lighter, brighter makeup.  On a recent trip to Sephora, a stunning sales associate with the same colouring as me greeted me at the door and I was struck by her blush.  I am always on the hunt for the perfect blush.  Most times, I buy blushes that are too bright, too pink (which end up looking ashy on my skin tone) or not bright enough, therefore looking either muddy or non-existent.

The sales associate’s blush was the most fabulous plummy wine-colour, but really popped on her skin. I begged her to tell me what it was!  She happily told me that she was wearing a blush called “Cola Pop” and brought me over to the Clinique section. She spread her arm game show host-style at Clinique’s display of adorable Cheek Pop blushes.

Clinique Cheek Pop Cola Pop SephoraLet me tell you about these blushes.  They are seriously cute!  They come in clear packaging and the blushes are in the shape of gerbera daisies!  I am a total sucker for unique and beautiful packaging, so I was already sold before she finished telling me about the product – haha!

I would describe Clinique’s Cola Pop as a rich, medium-dark reddish berry colour with a pretty luminous finish.  These blushes are very righly pigmented (apply with a light hand) and are very blendable and buildable.  Clinique describes this formulation as “virtually powderless, featuring silky smooth, true color.

I found this blush gives me a really pretty, natural, healthy glow!  As this formulation is powderless, it goes on with an almost creamy-like quality that leaves me looking slightly dewy – a look I’m always going for.  I am seriously impressed with this blush and happy to see that Clinique has changed the formulations of some of their products for the better. This is a brand that I never really pay attention to, but these new products are definitely catching my eye.

This blush is 100% free of fragrance, opthamologist and allergy-tested. Great for those with sensitive skin!  Here is a quick vlog review on this blush:

Have you tried out Clinique’s Cheek Pop blushes?  What are your favourites?  My research is telling me that Peach Pop is super popular!

Looks beautiful on your skintone! I just have Berry Pop, which is OK on me. I think I should probably have gone for a warmer one, like Peach.

This looks gorgeous on you! I have to recommend this to my friend. I’m resisting all of the new Clinique Cheek Pop blushes… I have 2 of the original 4 that they launched with. I need probably another 4 in my life! 😀 I just subscribed to your YT channel.
