Tonight, my great friend Allie and I attended the Shepherd’s Beauty Inside & Out event supporting Local CTV News host Leanne Cusack. Leanne will be climbing to the Mount Everest Base Camp with Dream Mountains in support of the Ottawa Network for Education School Breakfast Program.
For those of you who don’t know, Everest Base Camp is located halfway up Mount Everest at 17,598 feet above sea level. An absolutely amazing feat that Leanne has been training for over the last several months.
This fully catered event was held at the beautiful Trainyards location of Shepherd’s. In business for over 35 years, Marlene Shepherd’s stores offer an extensive selection of fabulous designers such as Trina Turk, Tadashi Shoji, Eileen Fisher and Yoga Jeans. Her stores also have huge collections of accessories including jewellery, scarves, clutches, shoes and handbags.
Tonight’s event focused on all things “beauty – inside & out”. Featured guests Janet Podleski, Kathie Donovan, Michelle Valberg, Leslie-Anne Barrett and Sam Poole gave interesting and humorous talks on everything from natural nutrition, how to love yourself and lead your best life, how to pose for a more beautiful picture, dressing for your figure and make-over tips. Allie and I had a great time shopping after the event, being styled by the amazing sales associates (thanks Sunny!) and we both left with gorgeous goodies! What a fantastic way to support a great cause! Hats off to Marlene Shepherd and Leanne Cusack!
