A few years ago, I was out to dinner with some friends. One of them leaned over to me and whispered: “Check this out!”. He pulled up his sleeve and revealed an awesome watch made of what looked like maple. “Is that a wooden watch?”, I asked in between sips of red. “Yep! Cool, right??” I laughed at my friends enthusiasm at his new find. It truly was cool. I wondered how that wood watch would wear over time. Would it splinter? Would it change colour? Could I get it wet? Fast forward a few years, and he’s still wearing it happily and it looks brand new. Makes sense as it is a JORD Wood Watch.

When I received my own JORD wood watch in the mail, I opened the box excitedly because I really wanted to see a wooden watch up close. I have to say, it was beautiful. I ordered the Frankie model in ebony wood with gold accents. It is such a classy watch, that I wore it that day with some dark accents that really set it off well. While understated with its dark chocolate tones, the watch’s classic minimalism and mens’ sizing is still eye-catching.
The watch was packaged beautifully too! Delivered in a pine case with the JORD insignia carved into the top of the box, I stared at it thinking that the box is almost as nice as the watch!
