Welcome to Festival Fashion Week! With RBC Ottawa Bluesfest starting on July 8th, Katie of YOW City Style and I decided to collaborate and feature a handful of boutiques in Ottawa that will offer some of the best music festival fashion our city has to offer. To start off, Katie and I will be featuring Viens Avec Moi (VAM Boutique), probably one of my favourite stores of all time. Set in a cute little house at 1338 Wellington Street West, owners Sophie Beaudoin and Renee Morra have managed to offer a selection of carefully curated pieces that are extremely covetable.
Thanks to these two ladies, Ottawa’s style afficianados have access to cool brands normally exclusive to the United States such as BB Dakota, Cynthia Vincent, Mother Denim, Maurie and Eve, Bella Dahl and Wildfox. Also available are superstar Canadian brands such as Jenny Bird (this jewelry line is…whoa. Amazing.)
Sophie and Renee opened their boutique in December 2011 as an extension of the Models International Management modelling agency owned by Sophie. Renee herself assists with the modelling agency’s day to day operations as a booking agent, stylist and is responsible for international placements.
This boutique is gorgeous with its white, airy rooms, rustic feel with a cozy exposed brick fireplace in its front room, whimsical feminine chandeliers and vintage furniture placed throughout. In addition to the beautiful fashions for women, VAM Boutique also offers gourmet maple syrup by St. Leon, beauty products for men by Baxter of California, and hosts pop-up shops for various other retailers such as Sparrow Floral Design.
Rebecca greeted Katie and I at the store the day of the photoshoot and I’m pretty sure that VAM’s staff is hired directly from the modelling agency! Rebecca is tall, slender and looks like she could be found on the streets of New York, portfolio in hand, rushing to her next casting call.

From the gorgeous delicate jewelry, to the awesome Cleobella bag perfect for a music festival, the store’s inventory is a treasure trove for those looking for cool, of-the-moment, instagram-worthy styles.

Ok – let me tell you about Mother Denim. They have got to be the softest, most comfortable jeans I have ever tried on. LOVE! And the camisole was so pretty in person and photographed so well. Perfect backdrop for all of those great necklackes!!

I wish we had more boutique type shops in Las Vegas! If it isn’t on the strip it doesn’t do well so I miss being able to shop small or local!! This is awesome!
