I won’t lie. When I ordered this top from SheIn, I was worried. My hubby took a quick look at it and dubbed it “Sexy Pirate”. After swatting him away, I stared long and hard at that “Add To Bag” button before clicking.
Wow. Am I glad I did. When I unwrapped this bell-sleeved beauty, I was stunned at the weight of the fabric, the beautiful way it draped and all of its interesting slits that gave it an originality that I haven’t seen before.

With off-the-shoulder shirts being all the rage, I was sure to add a few to my shopping list. This particular option was perfect for me. I’ve had many an off-the-shoulder shirt before, and something that always bothered me about them was how they would never stay in place, or remain perfectly straight across the chest without popping over your shoulders, giving you that dreaded “maiden who is about to go milk her cow in the barn” look.
This one though is constructed beautifully with a sturdy band that sits securely well below your shoulders. It stays perfectly in place all day without sagging, and is quite long which gives it a dramatic, eye-catching flair. Perfetto!
My friend Emilie who is quite the stylista, oohed and ahhed all over it which basically assured me that the shirt was good – real good. It also made me feel gorgeous, as demonstrated by me twirling around my house in it like a fashion-obsessed fool.
So, here are some quick tips for styling this cute trend:
- Wear a shorter, hip-length version with flared jeans for that cool 70s vibe.
- Tuck a fitted off-the-shoulder shirt into some culottes for a sleek, slim line.
- Pair a cropped off-the-shoulder shirt with a flared midi-skirt for a sweet, summery look.
- Convert a button-up shirt into a cool OTS and pair it with a mini skirt. Now, beware – you could be entering “Pinterest Fail” territory with this look! Try it out with a few shirts of different sizes before heading out!

I love this trend , I recently bought a off the shoulder top myself. It’s a great was to look sexy and if you are slightly larger it covers your arms a little.

It’s a much more demure way of being sexy and showing off your shoulders. Some sexy styles can look trashy unlike the off the shoulder look. Lovely photos too. X
