The Complete Guide To Perfect Summer Skin – Darphin

Whenever this time of year rolls around, I tuck away the heavier skin potions and lotions and reach for my body oils. Why? Well, they are the best and fastest way to give your skin that healthy, beautiful sheen that screams “SUMMER.”

You guys all know that Darphin is LIFE. It’s my favourite skincare brand of all time because it truly delivers. After being sick with the flu, the Lumière Essentielle line brought my sallow, tired skin back to life. When my forehead dried out inexplicably last year, Exquisage soothed it completely (this cream is the BOMB). And when I was completely sick of winter and needed a little glow, the Aromatic Care Oils made me feel like I was back in Barbados. This brand can do no wrong in my eyes.

I recently received several more products from Darphin to test out recently and true to form, I’m left loving the brand even more. Of the three products I received, my favourite is the Revitalizing Oil. Let me tell you why…and give you a little review of the two other products I received that I love as well.

Darphin Revitalizing Oil

I cannot say enough good things about this product. Seriously. Part of my signature style is glowing, healthy skin and this stuff is “glowing, healthy skin” in a bottle! WOW!

First off, it smells incredible with its notes of vanilla, citrus, musk and essential oils. Secondly, the oil is on the slightly richer side. It’s not wimpy and thin like so many others. Lastly, it’s highly moisturizing! So much so, that you can apply a little to your damp skin after showering and it leaves you silky and smooth all day.

On top of all of this, it gives your skin a rich, healthy-looking glow that is so beautiful to show off with all of those off-the-shoulder tops and short shorts that are synonymous with summer. Trust me – this is one product that will forever be in my beauty arsenal.

Bonus: this oil is absolutely fantastic in hair! If you have dry ends, add a few drops to the palm of your hand and massage gently into your ends. Run a little throughout all of your hair too, no matter what condition your hair is in. From normal to dry, the Revitalizing Oil makes your hair shiny and so, so soft.

Darphin Lumière Essentielle Instant Purifying And Illuminating Mask

This 2-in-1 mask is saving my skin, I tell ya. I’m a sun worshipper – through and through. Yes – I wear my sunscreen but I’ll admit there are days where I lie out in the sun for just a little too long. While this completely enhances that melanin glow, the sun totally dries out my skin.

After this sunny long weekend, my skin was in need of a little TLC so I pulled out this heavy hitter to hydrate it. This product is separated in two: the white purifying mask cleanses skin and gets rid of impurities. The illuminating orange mask is very hydrating and plumps and smooths skin.

Apply both products to your skin separately, each for five minutes at a time. You’ll be left with softer, brighter skin.

Both products smell wonderful, like orange creamsicles and they are gentle enough to use up to three times a week. I’ve definitely noticed a new softness to my skin and I look less tired. A major selling point for this night owl.

Darphin Tangerine Aromatic Care

I blast through my bottles of Aromatic Care Oil – mainly because I love how they smell. These essential-oil based products are calming and relaxing. In fact, a Darphin specialist at a department store showed me how to rub the Niaouli oil on my pressure points to relieve stress and prepare me for bedtime. Works every time!

The Tangerine Aromatic Care Oil is a goodie because it’s bright and refreshing. The past few weeks have been long and tiring ones chasing my puppy around, and this citrusy oil totally perks me up.

I add a few drops to my Lumière Essentielle Gel-Oil Cream and massage lightly into my face in the morning to boost hydration. Made with grapefruit, sweet orange and lemon oils, it is highly moisturizing and plumps up any fine lines.

If you can, try the 8-Flower Nectar Oil. It’s my all-time favourite Aromatic Care Oil because it smells so wonderful (I wish they offered a perfume), and is so moisturizing, I use it alone.
