Here is a quick overview of my favourite trends for Spring/Summer 2015. This post is dedicated to my lovely friend Vanessa who inquired about my thoughts on trends for the upcoming warm weather season.
Booties are still big – yay! For a fresh look, go for the Chelsea boot – flat ankle bootie with a pointed toe. Check out those by Alexander Wang. They’re amazing. Bucket bags are still making waves and if you can get your hands on one by the highly coveted Mansur Gavriel, congrats!
Gingham, a classic that always looks fresh, will be popular along with pointed “lace-up” flats…not the easiest look to pull off, but I like it.
Suede will be big and I’m thrilled. It is among my favourite fabrics. So luxurious and lasts forever if you take care of it.
Earring jackets and asymmetrical earrings will be popular as statement necklaces blessedly make their exit. While most are works of art, I found them too big, too heavy and too busy for me.
Lastly, plummy matte lips will be a beauty staple this summer. If you are worried about pulling off this dramatic look, try out a sheer version like Clinique’s best-selling Almost Lipstick in Black Honey.
What are your favourite trends for the upcoming spring, summer season?
xo,
Dominique
Looking forward to adding a culottes to my wardrobe, the new must-have pants for Spring.

Hey Style-Lee! I purposefully kept them off the list as the pair I tried on recently looked so horrible on me. Selfish – I know! LOL! They look so nice on the giraffe-like runway models! I’m particularly excited about the midi full skirts! So poodle skirt-ish! LOVE.
