To say this past weekend was “Moët Moment-Worthy” is the biggest of understatements. As a lover of champagne, I’ll toast to anything: Friday night, new shoes, finishing up house work…you name it. This particular weekend though earned alllll of the Moët & Chandon.
On Saturday, I was a panelist for the Carleton University Women In Business “Discovering The Catalyst” Conference. What a highlight! As a speaker on the Fashion Panel, I was afforded the opportunity to share the knowledge I have acquired over the past three years of blogging. To connect with a room full of students, creatives and business leaders was an honour and fantastic experience! I swear, the best part of blogging is connecting with the community.
It also fills my heart to have people come up to me to let me know that they love my blog and read it daily. I’m still floored that so many of you are fans and support me endlessly. I’m so, so grateful!
I rounded off the weekend with a “life moment”. On Sunday, I became a Dog Mom to little Reese, a Bernedoodle who stole our hearts. For my birthday back in December, my husband informed me that he’d be getting me a puppy. After the flood of joyful tears, we got to finding a breeder that specialized in hypoallergenic breeds.
Reese is lovely – a puppy full of boundless energy and snuggles. He is so affectionate and playful…I just can’t even. He is such a good boy too with a host of good manners under his belt already…my little eight-week-old puppy prodigy!
So, Ryan and I raised a glass of delicious Moët to one of the best weekends of our lives. We relaxed in front of the tv while watching the 90th Academy Awards. I oohed and aahed over the fashion (dammmn, Lupita!) while Ryan cheered when Sam Rockwell won Best Supporting Actor.
I will forever remember this weekend and look forward to years of laughs with Reese and Ryan. Sigh…life is good.
*A massive thank you to Moët & Chandon for the lovely gifts in exchange for my honest opinion.
Awesome post! I’ve been meaning to catch up on your blog girl! Sorry – been so busy myself and I’m going to start vlogging this spring – preparing for that and for other business decisions in my life. Congrats on the outstanding panelist discussion/participation and sharing your knowledge. We are grateful to have you connecting with us – I feel like I know you! A blessing that you come into our homes, it really is. Congrats on getting Reese! I said, she’s either going to be a mom to a wonderful pet, OR, the other mom thing 🙂 …

Thank you so much, Cheryl! Apologies for responding so late to this. My blog has been down for most of the week due to upgrades happening on the back end. Your comments mean so much! Blogging has been so fulfilling for me! And I’m thrilled that you are going to start vlogging! Be sure to let me know once you start so I can subscribe. Can I give you one piece of advice? Don’t wait – START NOW!!
Thanks for the kind words about Reese! He is SO CUTE! Everybody thought I was pregnant! HAHAHAH!
So great that you got to be on a panel, and I think the new addition to your family is quite the cutie. Lupita looked great. I think Gina Rodriguez killed it, too. So happy that Jordan Peele won for Get Out. I have not see the Three Billboards Sam Rockwell movie yet, but I will soon.
