City of Om is back, y’all! This chilled out yoga festival will be making its return to Ottawa on Saturday, June 3rd, 2017. Taking place at Ottawa’s beautiful Lansdowne Park, City of Om will be offer a full day of indoor and outdoor yoga classes!
Never tried yoga before but want to? Don’t be intimidated! City of Om is a warm and welcoming community offering yoga classes for all levels. In addition to a bunch of fun yoga classes, there will also be the EXIT Free Spirit 5K run along the Rideau Canal. Local favourite Wheelhouse Cycle will also be offering demo classes on-site in between yoga sessions. Get your heart rate up with a good Wheelhouse spin and then find your zen with some hatha yoga afterwards. After you get your workout on, spend the rest of the day enjoying workshops, great live music, beautiful wares for sale by local artisans and tons of delicious food. Stick around too for the killer Afterparty!
I’m really excited to get my butt down to the festival this year with my friends for some good, clean fun. I love that City of Om is all about healthy living, environmental sustainability and supporting a healthy community.
Tickets are now on sale here (http://www.cityofom.com/tickets). Feel extra good about buying your ticket too as $2 from the sale of each ticket will be donated to three charities: Love Your Brain, CARE Canada and The Ottawa Humane Society. Get your good karma on, man. City of Om is a supporter also of Harmony House, Rhythms Rediscovered and Ecology Ottawa.

Ooooh, Honey! I think Ms. Honey would love that! Good luck!! xo
Thank you for this opportunity! Who would I bring to City of Om? My daughter. My university gal who is still trying to destress from 3 weeks of exam stress. She is the one who introduced me to yoga and if I won a pass, then I could buy another ticket and treat her to some post-exam period zen!

Hi Karen! How nice of you! Tell you what…if you do win, you get TWO passes! Good luck, my dear!
This looks like an amazing day to hone your practice while also trying out new styles and teachers! Practicing in such large groups is really a pleasure and treat!
If I were to win a set of tickets I would bring my partner. Yoga has been a major part of our relationship and one of the activities that brought us together. (We even did a group yoga class for our joint bachelor/ette party before we got married!) That said, with life being so busy we often fall out of regular practice and don’t make enough time to ground ourselves and exercise our physical and spiritual sides. Taking part in the City of Om would be a really great way to jump start a return to yoga and inspire us to prioritize our health and well-being. 🙂
Great contest! If I won I would take my boyfriend, he plays so many sports and needs to learn the importance of a good stretch 🙂
I would bring my sister! She’s new to yoga and would love the opportunity to connect with Ottawa’s yoga community 🙂
I would probably bring my sister who loves yoga and deserves a cool day like this. Or maybe my awesome sister-in-law who also does. Or maybe just a big gang!
I would bring my good friend and yoga buddy Kim joiner she would love this! Always great to do new things and try different styles.
What a gorgeous photo set! Love the locations!
