Well, the weather outside is frightful…really, it is. But that’s ok because I love Christmas and I’m so excited that it’s right around the corner. With the holiday season comes a ton of invites to Holiday parties, including one that got me thinking (a tour of homes professionally decorated for the Holidays).
Most people usually think “glitter, sequins, and sparkle” for dressing for these events, but I wanted to take a different route, and this is spurred by a great pair of plaid pants I found at Zara (my home away home). They are so fun and cheery, that I felt they deserved to be worn as much as possible, from here on into December 25th.

For the home tour, I knew I would be spending some time outdoors, so I paired these fun, red plaid pants with a snuggly mustard coloured sweater and my little bakerboy hat. Thankfully, there wasn’t too much snow on the ground, so I put on my fave white boots to give the outfit a little “je ne sais quoi”.
As these pants make quite the statement on their own, I’ll match them with a simple black, long-sleeved tee to run errands or enjoy a warm cup of hot chocolate with a friend.
For an upcoming Holiday movie viewing, I’m thinking I’ll wear these fun little pants with a white blouse I recently scored during the early Black Friday sales. Adding some big gold hoops to this outfit will take this look from casual to “Christmas Ready”.
This look is also perfect because I love its feminine yet edgy vibe. Best of all, each piece in this Holiday look can be paired with other pieces leading to some really versatile outfits. For example, that gold sweater, while having a really bright and vibrant hue, looks so great with so many things – jeans, black velvet pants, a black leather skirt, you name it.
Anywhoo, I’m so excited for Christmas (my favourite time of year), and I’m cueing up a bunch of Holiday looks to inspire you all, so hang tight and stay tuned for more!
This is so cute. I love the sweater. I can see it being a staple in m6 wardrobe
