My Best Beauty Picks – Sephora Holiday Savings Event
Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Coconut Fizz Eau De Toilette
This perfume is “beach in a bottle”. I took one whiff and was instantly transported to Barbados’ stunning Crane Beach.
This fresh, bright scent features notes of coconut, watermelon and sandalwood. It’s also a steal at $99 compared to so many lesser perfumes that have crossed the $200 price line.
Anything By La Mer
I got hooked on this incredibly luxe brand when I received a sample of the La Mer The Cleansing Oil. It is remarkably effective at removing all traces of makeup and washes off cleanly.
After partnering with the brand and receiving the Crème de la Mer Moisturizer and The Hydrating Infused Emulsion, I was hooked. Both of these products will alleviate and soothe any dryness you have without making you look greasy.
Now, these products are pricey, but a little goes a long way. All three are worthy investments.
Strivectin Advanced Retinol Nightly Renewal Moisturizer
Retinol is MY JAM! Consistent use brightened my skin, got rid of dark marks completely and greatly reduced the look of my pores.
So many are very harsh though, requiring you to work up to consistent use. Thankfully, Strivectin’s Advanced Retinol Nightly Renewal Moisturizer is so much more gentle than most, yet just as effective. It is also the dewiest moisturizer too leaving your skin baby soft the following morning.
Bite Beauty Power Move Hydrating Soft Matte Lipstick
Matte lipsticks, in my personal opinion, offer a depth of colour that is just real damn good! In fact, when it comes to red lipsticks, matte formulations are the ones I reach for the most.
Bite Beauty Power Move Hydrating Soft Matte Lipsticks come in a range of colours that are amazing (Cayenne is a fave). Best of all though, the formulation is so rich, creamy and hydrating, you will never suffer from cracked, dry, Sahara lips again. LOVE!
Lancome Clarifique Exfoliating and Hydrating Face Double Essence
OK. You will have to pry Lancôme Clarifique out of my cold dead hands. This exfoliating and hydrating essence really worked for me – resurfacing my skin which really could have used a good exfoliation.
I noticed results almost immediately. My skin felt cleaner, smoother and makeup application was better after using this bi-phase essence consistently. I chalk all of that up to Clarifique containing glycolic acid – a supreme skincare champ that brightens skin, does a great job at hydrating, evens skin out really well (fades hyperpigmentation) and reduces the look of pores.
Laura Mercier Light Catcher Translucent Setting Powders – Radiant Finish
Laura Mercier recently released three light-catching powders that are GORGEOUS. These pearlescent powders are long-lasting, skin-blurring, photograph without the ghost-face look and are truly RA-DEE-ANT…without the Tinman look, of course.
There are three colours to choose from:
- Celestial Light: Champagne Beige – fair to light skin tones
- Honey Star: Golden Peach – medium skin tones
- Cosmic Rose: Bronzed Rose – medium deep to deep skin tones
Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear All Over Concealer & Idôle Aura Eau De Parfum
Lancôme can do no wrong in my books…so I knew I would love their latest releases. They did NOT disappoint.
Lancôme Teint Idôle Ultra Wear All Over Concealer provides full coverage yet is lightweight. It’s hydrating too so you don’t have to worry about it caking into fine lines, etc. I love that it fully covers my “allergic shiner” (the undereye darkness I’m currently experiencing due to allergies).
Lancôme Aura Idôle Eau de Parfum is a fresh floral scent which is both sexy and elegant, without being too heavy or cloying. The rosy jasmine and vanilla notes make this a perfume that I reach for day and night.
Anything by AMOREPACIFIC
AMOREPACIFIC has dazzled me this past year! I only recently tried out this brand and I am thrilled with the solid results and improvement in my skin!
Here are a few of my faves that I will be restocking during the sale:
AMOREPACIFIC Treatment Enzyme Cleansing Foam
This gentle cleanser exfoliates skin without leaving it feeling like you washed your face with gravel. Its suitable for all skin types, but is particularly great if you have oily skin. I love that it contains hyaluronic acid which leaves skin feeling hydrated after washing, with no dryness and tautness.
AMOREPACIFIC TIME RESPONSE EYE Reserve Crème
This is my go-to nighttime eye cream. You can use it both in the am & pm, but I love how hydrating and dewy it is, leaving the delicate skin around my eyes super hydrated the next morning. I do reach for this during the day when I want a dewy glow. I find it is pretty rich, so apply only a thin layer and let it dry down before applying eye makeup.
AMOREPACIFIC Youth Revolution Vitamin C Radiance Corrector
This formation is one of my favourite Vitamin C serums. It’s light with a very fine, slightly oily texture that leaves skin brightened and hydrated with consistent use.
I tried this on a whim when my favourite Vitamin C serum ran out. Let’s just say this quickly replaced the other.
Have fun shopping the sales, guys! Be sure to let me know what you snag!
