Why You Should Try This Smart Serum: Armani Prima Smart Moisture Serum

Serums have been a staple of my beauty routine for a couple of years now. When I fully understood how they worked and their importance in any skincare regimen, using a good one was a no-brainer.

That’s the hard thing though – finding a good one. So many serums are overly greasy, tacky, too runny, too thick or leave your poor skin feeling tight and drier than when you started. Armani Prima Smart Moisture Serum could very well be the perfect glowy hydrator.

There are a few key things that make a great serum:

  • It should be lighter and thinner than your moisturizer;
  • Serums should absorb readily into the skin;
  • It should contain higher amounts of moisturizing and hydrating ingredients than your moisturizer;
  • A good one will round out the active, beneficial ingredients you are already adding to your skin.
Happy, hydrated skin!

Before you choose a serum though, be sure to pinpoint your skin type and skincare needs. So, for example, a water-based serum is good for those with oily skin and oil-based serums really help out those with dry skin. Hyaluronic acid serums will plump up skin reducing the look of fine lines, and Vitamin C-based serums will brighten and even skintone.

This is what makes Armani Prima Smart Moisture Serum so great – it’s formulated so well that it would help out both oily and dry skin types. It does this by delivering a big dose of hydration to various areas of your face according to its specific needs. It’s basically your “smart serum”.

This luxurious formula contains both hyaluronic acid which plumps skin and erases fine lines with continued use. By the way, I would bathe in hyaluronic acid if I could. It is also formulated with crimson seaweed, which leaves skin glowy and luminous.

Other Benefits You’ll Love

Armani Prima Smart Moisture Serum also works as a makeup primer, leaving your skin perfectly prepped for your favourite foundation. After testing this out for several weeks, not only did I find my skin quite soft and balanced (dry spots are a thing of the past), my foundation went on more evenly.

This is particularly beneficial because I use a favourite mineral powder foundation that while great, loves to stick to the drier areas of my face leaving dark, muddy patches. Since this smooth serum hydrated my skin so well, that problem was eliminated.

In addition, I definitely noticed that my makeup lasted longer. My concealer stayed put, along with my blush that loves to pull a disappearing game around 3pm each day.

This serum carries a bit of a hefty price tag at $115 CAD, but thankfully, a little goes a long way. It absorbs quickly too and never leaves skin feeling greasy, sticky or tacky.

How To Apply

Apply this light, fresh-feeling serum in circular motions to skin, being careful not to pull or tug at delicate areas around the eyes. This serum is most beneficial when applied at night to let its powerful ingredients do their thing. That being said, I use it both in the morning and before bed.

One Thing To Note…

Armani Prima Smart Moisture Serum is quite fragranced. Personally, I love the delicate, floral scent, but others may be a bit sensitive to it. The scent does not dissipate rapidly either.

The entire Armani Prima collection is aesthetically pleasing! The bottles and jars are gorgeous, and complement the most beautiful of vanities. It’s one of my skincare products that never gets tucked away in a drawer because it’s too pretty!
