Nude makeup looks are my favourite. Just ask my Mum who begs me to wear “a little red lipstick once in a while, for the love of GOD!” Nope – sheer pinks, barely-there lips and just a flush of light pink blush are Dom’s signature makeup looks.
Armani Beauty’s Neo Nude Collection is perfect for those who love the “no-makeup makeup look”. This whole collection makes you look glowy and healthy, like you just returned from a fab vacation, but without the cakey, overdone look. Think “happy, flushed cheeks”, “lips that looked like they just enjoyed a cherry popsicle” and flawless, rested skin.
I received a couple of products from the Neo Nude Collection to test out and the Neo Nude A-Blush proved to be a favourite that earned its place in my makeup bag. I’m dying to try out the rest of the collection in the coming weeks and I’ll be sure to report back in my IG stories. Speaking of which, are you following me on Instagram yet??
Neo Nude A-Blush
Armani Beauty’s Neo Nude A-Blush is a range of five different shades of pink, all designed to make you look rested and healthy.
I received #51 – a lovely rose-coloured shade that makes me look like me, but better. Easy to apply with a really lovely buildable dimension, it’s perfect on the apples of the cheek providing a rosy glow that is universally flattering. Those with ivory skin tones would love this colour too as it would provide a little more drama than its lighter counterparts.
This blush features a wand applicator with a sponge tip which is great for dabbing directly onto your cheeks. And don’t worry about it staining for fingers…it absolutely doesn’t. Washes off cleanly so it won’t look like you’ve been messing around with fingerpaint.
Neo Nude Fusion Powder
Neo Nude Fusion Powder comes in 12 different shades, which is pretty impressive for a line of finishing powders. I’m used to beauty brands providing three colours only: light, medium and dark.
This powder provides a luminous finish meaning it provides a nice glow, never masking skin, but letting it shine through. It won’t make you look dried out or ghostly but instead takes away excess shine while leaving a bit of a dewy glow.
This product features a “water memory formulation process”, meaning that water within the powder evaporates, leaving a powdery texture behind. Once you apply it to your skin, the process reverses. The powder turns back into a light liquid. This novel formulation will not smear, leave harsh lines (bye bye foundation mask) and never gets cakey.
I was super impressed with this formulation as it is truly veil-like and lightweight. The colour I was provided wasn’t quite dark enough for my skin tone, but I can get away with it using a light hand. Ideally, #9 would have been perfect for me (ordering!!).
Armani Beauty never disappoints as the quality is so high. This line is perfect for those who don’t really want a “strong makeup look” but love a little coverage and colour.
Have you tried any of the Armani Neo Nude Collection? What did you think?
