Passing The Time In Style – Rosewood Puzzle Co.

I’ll let you in on a little nerdy secret of mine. I love puzzles. Always have. As a kid, one of my fave “toys” was a Strawberry Shortcake jigsaw puzzle that I received one Christmas. I would put that thing together over and over again, and pore over the scented group shot of the Strawberry Shortcake Gang forever. Man – I loved Orange Blossom and Apple Dumplin’!

About a month ago or so, the Rosewood Puzzle Co. reached out to me via email to collaborate. I didn’t even hesitate. I just yelled: “SEND ME THE PUZZLES!!!” to my Gmail. A few days later, I was the proud owner of two stylish jigsaw puzzles, and immediately got to work on them like the Aritzia-clad kid that I am.

Another reason I was so thrilled to receive the puzzles is because I wanted to frame them. I’m in the midst of creating a gallery wall in my office, and these two framed puzzles would make a cute addition.

Rosewood Puzzle Co. – The Deets

While reading up on Toronto-based Rosewood Puzzle Co., I was pleased to learn that they employ local artists to create the puzzle imagery. The Rosewood Puzzle Co. currently employs five artists to create the puzzle imagery: Amanda Greenwood, Anne-Sophie Perreault, Melissa McLaughlin, Shayna Pitch and Ginette Brosseau.

One aspect of Rosewood Puzzle Co.’s vision and mandate is to support local artists and provide them with a stage to showcase their art. This leads to them further establishing themselves in the industry. How great is that? Buying Canadian is important to me, so I’m thrilled to support this homegrown company and its artists.

I’ll be further supporting them also as I feel these would make great Christmas gifts, especially for my two sisters who love this sort of thing (we are soooo sisters).

Decorating with Rosewood Puzzle Co.

If you want to decorate with the puzzles like I’m doing, I suggest getting a large black or white frame with a solid white mat (8.5″ x 11″ or 10″ x 16″ frames look lovely). These colours make the vibrant puzzles pop. I went to my local Chapter’s Indigo, bought a couple of frames, and popped in the puzzles. Super easy. I found the mat that came with the frame a little small so I had custom mats created at my local framing shop. Very inexpensive to do…under $30 for both.

Are you a jigsaw puzzle fan like I am? Come on…you can tell us! LOL! Visit Rosewood Puzzle Co. online here and on instagram here!

*A very big thank you to Rosewood Puzzle Co. for sending me these samples in exchange for my honest opinion.

    Hi Dominque!

I recently discovered your YouTube Channel last week and I cannot stop watching the information you provide and the video footage is superb! I’ve watched countless Vloggers and you are by far THE BEST one out there for relaxed ladies such as myself. I used to have long, strong and thick relaxed hair and all of your tips were my staples — I think I lost my thickness and length due to stress and other factors I created 🙂 … With you videos, I have been motivated! Thank you
