As you may have read previously in Style Domination: Thirty Day Check-In, I tend to hibernate in the winter. I’m not into winter sports AT ALL, except for skating, so I hole myself in at work and home and pray relentlessly for summer.
I live in Ottawa, Canada…and it gets damn cold here. If it weren’t such a nice city with great people, you’d find me living it up permanently in South Beach, FL. Of note, Ottawa is gorgeous all year round. We have the world’s longest skateway too – the Rideau Canal (don’t quote me on that – I think there are longer ones now). It’s always great to see the canal bustling with people, skating away while enjoying beavertails (a.k.a elephant ears) and warm apple cider.
I was challenged to take a walk at lunchtime…in early March. I wasn’t thrilled. The extent of my outdoor exposure is usually walks to and from my car, office and/or grocery store. As I wasn’t doing anything and the mercury inched its way towards the 0ºC mark, I obliged.
Here are a few pics of my winter trek – lol! Enjoy…
