Style Crush: Edmond Kamara, Cuts For Him

Meet Edmond Kamara. This stylish gent is the notable British blogger behind Cuts For Him, a go-to source for gentlemen’s styling. Edmond is clearly dominating men’s fashion across the pond and highly influencing my own style. Over the past year or so, I’ve definitely seen an increase in men’s styling influencing womenswear, and frankly, it’s a breath of fresh air from the usual either overtly feminine fashion, or stylish yet sloppy dressing that bloggers such as myself seem to favour (distressed this and that, untucked everything, bedhead and the like).

I recently picked up a copy of The New Garçonne: How To Be A Modern Gentlewoman and I cannot put it down. This book is a sartorial treasure trove comprised of several interviews with stylish ladies of the moment, each of which have a dandy and somewhat androgynous flair all of their own. While leafing through the book, I felt a rush of inspiration and an overwhelming need to fill my closet with tartan suits, ties and perfect shirts. i currently have a healthy collection of brogues, ties and hats, and I made a mental note to start wearing these gems more often, and maybe tuck away the frilly dresses for a little while.

Back to Edmond, I stumbled across his dapper blog last year while researching how I could incorporate chic menswear into my own personal style. I got lost in Edmond’s blog thanks to the countless incredible shots of his personal fashion which ranges from perfectly cut suits that look like they were picked up from Savile Row, to casual stylings mixing leather biker jackets with dark denim, trainers, button downs and wool ties.

On top of being incredibly stylish, this gent is a smart cookie too. With a Masters of Science, Edmond is more than a handsome face, as demonstrated by his stylish and compelling writing. His great writing is further complemented by his keen eye for photography. Sigh – some people just have it all.

Edmond’s great style hasn’t gone unnoticed either. Working with such notable brands as Mazda, Canon, London Fashion Week and Tom Ford, his classic dapper method is clearly influencing everyone around him, and his following Youtube video has inspired me to start saving for a tux.
