Do you have a go-to outfit? Something that makes you feel amazing? Something that is easy to throw on, yet makes you stand a little taller, smile a little brighter and strut around like a peacock?
I do. This little blouson racerback top and high-waisted ruched skirt in Pure White from 724 Clothing makes me feel beautiful and is my current go-to outfit. Not only is it supremely comfortable, it’s totally flattering. When I wear it, I feel like a million bucks.
While talking with my sister this weekend, I showed her the outfit and she thought it was gorgeous. I asked her if she had a fave outfit – something that she gravitates towards if she needed a boost or wanted to rock something hot for a night out with the girls or a hot date with her beau…

Me: So, Ali G? What is your fave outfit? What makes you feel gorg?
Sisterly unit: “My Batman leggings.”
Me: *groan* “Seriously now. What is your “Look at me. I’m effing hot” outfit???
Sisterly unit: “Well, I have a floor-length, fitted, low-cut bright red dress that accentuates the girls and makes my waist look super tiny. That dress is hot. I wear that and people’s eyes bug out.”
We giggled and then proceeded to fight over a bowl of Veggie Straws (#sisterlife). That little exchange got me thinking and I made a mental note to ask a few people about their favourite “hot mama” looks. Read on!

“I have an oatmeal-coloured cashmere minidress. I wear it in the fall. It’s really fitted, shows off my curves, is as soft as a bunny – I love it. It shows off my legs too which I consider my best feature!”

“An Herve Leger white bandage dress. I wear it when I go to Vegas. It’s hot. Really hot. LOL!”

“I got a pair of old Levi’s from Value Village a million years ago. They are high-waisted and I cut them really short. They make my ass look great.”

“This frilly, short, baby doll dress, but it has a drawstring so you can show off your waist. It’s made of the softest white silk and trimmed in black lace. It’s ruffly too. It sounds insane, but it has the prettiest movement when I walk. I feel gorgeous in it. I get a ton of compliments on it too!”

“I bought a simple, yet beautifully cut Smythe blazer in navy. I feel bad-ass in that jacket.”

“Some Rag + Bone jeans I got a while ago. It’s like they were made for me. They make me look like I have a butt! I pair them with a sexy top and heels and hit the town with my boy.”

I feel confident in well fitting clothes. After having kids, my weight has been up and down, so I’ve never felt like my clothes fit properly. Also, I’m a sahm, so I have a mom-iform I wear most days. I love date night when I can dress up a bit and wear some heals!
