Get To Steppin’ – Geox Fall 2017

This was your typical fall day in Ottawa – cold in the morning and hot in the afternoon. How to dress on days like this always stump me, so I try to wear layers to stay comfortable. I knew this particular morning morning would be cold, so it was the perfect opportunity to haul out my new Geox Quinlynn boots.

I was meeting my friend Tara after work and since it was so gorgeous outside, I thought I’d change into my shorts and trainers, and take the scenic walk downtown to meet her. Unfortunately, in my usual rush to get to work, I forgot the trainers at home. Sigh. The boots would have to do. As I changed and checked myself out in the mirror, I really liked what I saw! Loved the cute denim shorts with my boyfriend tee paired with the rugged, yet classy Quinlynn boots. I worried a bit about the long walk in my new boots, but in true Geox form, they were ultra comfortable.

Regarding the blazer, I didn’t want to fold it up and mash it into my bag, so I kept it on and hit the pathways. Upon arrival, my look was “Tara-approved” which is a big deal (this girl has heaps of style). That pretty much made my day.

These Quinlynn boots have proven to be so comfy and so versatile, that I chose them for my “airport style” look for my trip to England and Spain. I wore them throughout my visit to London – it was so cold!! The boots looked great with everything, from little dresses to skinnies and flared jeans.

While in Barcelona, I trekked all over the city in them, and they kept my feet warm, dry and cozy during that one freezing, rainy day we experienced. These have become my new favourite boots – perfect for fall, and since “comfy” is my middle name, these boots are my jam.

Honestly, that’s what a typical fall day tends to be like here as well. It’s cold in the a.m., hot in the afternoon and then cold again at night. And you might have forgotten your trainers, but I’m digging this look with the boots. Love a blazer and shorts combo.
