The Best Little Canada Day Dress – Marshalls Canada

Crimson is a favourite colour of mine, one that I don’t wear that often, unfortunately. I love everything about it though. The depth of this colour, its richness and how regal it is. It’s so flattering too on a variety of skin tones.

I think the colour red suits “Dominique” also. Both “red” and I have similar traits: we’re both outgoing, confident, energetic and fiery.

Red Dress Canada Day Marshalls Canada

Thanks to huge upcoming Canada Day celebrations, I’ve bought a ton of red clothing over the past month (red and white are synonymous with my beloved country). I was a little stumped on what to wear for a fancy Canada Day bbq that I’ve been invited too. I wanted to look patriotic, but not ridiculous (flag dresses = bad, flag shirts = sad, flag bikinis = mad…ness inducing). I thought a great white dress would be awesome with some red lipstick, but I’d inevitably end up covered in rib sauce and wearing a glass of wine by the end of the night. Why does that happen, by the way? I can wear anything and not spill on it, except for white clothing. *groan*

I found this awesome red dress while clothes hunting at Marshalls Canada. It was perfect. It obviously stood out with its gorgeous red colour, but I was sold when I saw the little bow details at the elbows. The dress is a little longer in the back too for an extra bit of interest. I marched to the cashier and this fierce red dress was mine.

My Canadian friends…what will you be wearing this Canada Day? Also, got any tips for wearing white clothing without requiring a bib? Help a girl out and drop a comment below!

I can certainly say that red suits you. Very similar traits, indeed. I own maybe two red things in my closet and I don’t wear them much. For our upcoming 4th of July/Independence Day, I plan on wearing blue with some pops of red — no flags, lol.

Yes to no flags. LOL! I actually scored this white and blue striped boyfriend shirt from Rag & Bone at Marshalls too. It would be really nice on you! We have a July 4th party up here to. I plan on wearing that shirt with some white jeans and more red lipstick. LOL! Have fun and Happy Independence Day!
