I have always wanted to try hot rollers as I really want to minimize the use of direct heat in my hair. A lot of the damage us ladies do to our hair is inflicted by direct heat from hair tools like flat and curling irons.
When T3 Micro offered to send me a couple of products to review on the blog, including some awesome hot rollers, this beauty blogger was thrilled.
Now – I didn’t exactly *know* how to use hot rollers. My hair is pretty annoying. Being chemically straightened, it doesn’t hold too many styles. Curls normally fall out quickly which is particularly annoying as it takes me forever to style my hair (I have a ton of hair). Thanks to my good buddy YouTube, I discovered that hot rollers are best used after washing and drying your hair. DO NOT FLAT IRON your hair before using them. The curl will not set as well.
Ok – now that the disclaimer is out of the way, let’s get to reviewing.
T3 Micro Volumizing Hot Rollers Luxe
T3 Micro promises big shine, volume, textured waves and luster with their Volumizing Hot Rollers Luxe. I can officially confirm this. I loved the textured, beachy waves they offered. Think, “sexy bedhead”. I mainly used the bigger rollers (extra large size – 1.75″) as I have long, thick hair and was afraid of using the smaller ones for fear of looking like a poodle (large size – 1.5″). Using the smaller ones around my hairline where the hair is shorter thanks to my layers, produced really defined, flattering waves though.
The hot rollers are flocked in velvet which promotes shine and lessens tangles. The eight clips held the rollers in place really well and did not leave any creases at all (hate that). I thought that using the rollers would be really time-consuming too, but rolling up all of my hair was a snap and didn’t burn any fingers. *side glancing my curling iron*
The results were truly beautiful! I was really feeling myself the first day I used them and enjoyed whipping my waves back and forth like a boss.
T3 Micro’s Volumizing Hot Rollers Luxe are suitable to use anywhere in the world thanks to their Auto World Voltage. Other features include automatic shut-off, a pretty carrying case for travel and storage and frankly, they are just really beautiful products.
T3 Micro’s Featherweight Luxe 2i Hair Dryer
As I mentioned, I’m trying to minimize the use of direct heat in my hair. So, I normally wash my hair and let it air dry. I have noticed that since I started doing this about three-four years ago, my hair has really gotten healthier. That being said, it dries frizzy and looks kind of terrible.
When I received the Featherweight Luxe 2i Hair Dryer, I decided to try it out and see if T3 Micro’s claims are true – that using this hair dryer is healthier than air drying. Well, it looks that way.
First of all, it dried my hair really quickly. I have no idea how this works, but my old crappy hair dryer took forever. That’s actually one of the reasons I started air drying – it seemed to take the same amount of time! T3 Micro states that their T3 Tourmaline® SoftAire™ technology allows for quick, healthy drying that reduces frizz and boosts gloss. This is totally true as my hair was way less frizzy and looked shinier than normal (thanks to it being so much smoother).
The first time I used it, I flat-ironed my hair after and it made the process way easier. I was completely sold. And apparently, so is everyone else as this hair tool has won two Allure Best of Beauty Awards. Nice!
This hair dryer comes with three heat settings, two speed settings, a diffuser and a cool shot button to set your hair after styling. It also comes with an awesome barrel brush that I’m totally going to use when I cut some bangs back into my hair.
One more thing – this hair dryer and brush are beautiful. Both have a glossy, bright white finish with rose gold accents. Too pretty….
Now, T3 Micro’s products are pricey…but you get what you pay for. Thankfully for our wallets, you can pay for your products in instalments. They are such bad influences! LOL! Read the fine print and get to shopping!
Have you tried anything by T3 Micro? Let me know in the comments!
I *never* use my curling irons for fear of burning myself, and because generally it takes me way too long to style my hair (I’m not talented). These rollers look amazing, though! Approximately how long did you leave them in, Dom? Love the look!
