SkinCeuticals is the best beauty find I’ve discovered since my all-time favourite, Darphin. I have seen real results since I started using it about three months ago, with Advanced Skin Discoloration Corrector and the H.A. Intensifier being the new darlings of my skincare regime.
What makes SkinCeuticals stand out? Well, I’ve actually seen a difference since I’ve started using the products. I’m prone to the odd zit here and there, and the Advanced Skin Discoloration Corrector is STELLAR at fading those dark scars left behind from pimples. The H.A. Intensifier on the other hand truly makes my skin glow.
Over the past couple of years, I’ve found a skincare regime that really works for me but I’m glad that I found a dark spot corrector and serum worth their weight in gold. SkinCeuticals Eye Balm and Antioxidant Lip Repair are two other products I’ve taken for a test drive that are solid products.
So, grab a cup of tea, get comfortable, and read about why I’m loving this great brand that uses top-notch ingredients that truly make you look like: “I woke up like this”.
SkinCeuticals Advanced Skin Discoloration Corrector
This is hands-down (!!!) my FAVOURITE product of this line!! It’s sooo effective at erasing dark marks left behind from pimples that it kinda made my jaw drop.
After about three weeks of using it 3-4 times a week, it reduced a few stubborn acnes scars significantly and completely erased others. An effective exfoliant also, it made my skin absolutely glow. My skin hasn’t looked this even and milk-chocolatey EVER. Warning: This is a great exfoliator, so start out by using it two to three times a week. It can be a little irritating if you overdo it.
This product is also paraben-, fragrance- and dye-free, along with being non-comedogenic, so no need to worry about this product causing breakouts.
You will have to pry this Advanced Skin Discoloration Corrector out of my cold, dead hands. SO GOOD.
SkinCeuticals H.A. Intensifier
This is my favourite serum ever other than Darphin’s Lumière Essentielle Illuminating Oil Serum. The two are quite different though, so it’s like comparing apples and oranges.
SkinCeuticals H.A. Intensifier is a powerful serum with a high concentration of pure hyaluronic acid. In addition, it contains soothing licorice root and purple rice which boosts hydration and plumps skin. It is paraben- and dye-free.
It left my skin looking soft and radiant, and its formulation is non-greasy, not to mention the most pleasing beetroot colour. I really knew that it was working because when I stopped using it for a week, my skin felt rougher and looked duller. Not cool.
This product is a pricey one at $120 a bottle, but man…is it worth it. Absolutely love it.
SkinCeuticals Eye Balm
SkinCeuticals Eye Balm is an effective moisturizer for the delicate skin around the eyes. I had some dryness and irritation at the corners of my eyes that were causing breakouts. This Eye Balm stopped that in its tracks.
Eye Balm is also supposed to reduce undereye puffiness but sadly, I did not notice any puffiness reduction. I would highly recommend it though as an effective eye moisturizer. The consistency is lovely and the formulation is matte, which is nice when you want to apply concealer over it. In fact, my concealer stayed put for hours over this rich balm.
SkinCeuticals Antioxidant Lip Repair
My lips took a massive hit this winter thanks to record-breaking cold. Chapped, split, peeling – you name it. They were in rough shape. The SkinCeuticals Antioxidant Lip Repair was a lifesaver.
Each night before bed, I would apply a dollop of this creamy formula to my lips and wake up to much smoother, soft lips. It’s light and non-greasy unlike most lip balms. In fact, I would liken it to a rich cream. A little goes a long way also as it is on the expensive side at $41.
The formula attracts water to effectively hydrate lips and replenish lip tissue and is highly effective for soothing the dry, chapped lips of those using oral medications such as Accutane (notorious for drying out skin).
I’ll be adding the Advanced Skin Discoloration Corrector, H.A. Intensifier and Antioxidant Lip Repair to my list of all-star skincare products. I thank the good people of SkinCeuticals for sending these to me to test out. They have been game-changers!
SkinCeuticals can be ordered online here. You can also purchase products at finer spas such as Oxygen Medi Spa right here in Ottawa. Lucky Vancouverites can visit the SkinCeuticals Advanced Clinical Spa (jealous).
I’m really going to take your word for it on this one because I’m also a big fan of Darphin. I’d love to try the Skinceuticals discoloration corrector. That looks like it does wonders!
