Shiny, Happy Hair: Moroccanoil Blow-Dry Concentrate

One of the joys in life is shiny, fantastic, frizz-free hair…something that eluded me as a teenager.

After years of learning my hair and how to take care of it, I now have my hair care regimen down pat. Deep conditioning with thick hair masques once a week, rubbing a little oil into the ends nightly, and sleeping on a satin pillow case or covering my hair each night with a silk scarf has caused my hair to thrive.

Being hair-obsessed, I’m pretty much always on the look out for the latest and greatest. A few weeks ago, Moroccanoil launched their new Blow-Dry Concentrate and this stuff is pretty amazing.

L to r: Moroccanoil Blow-Dry Concentrate, Smoothing Shampoo, Smoothing Conditioner, Original Treatment

I have thick, coarse hair despite relaxing (chemically straightening) it every three months. When it’s time to get my hair relaxed, it becomes particularly unruly and a little hard to manage. To detangle and prevent breakage, I always choose moisturizing shampoos and conditioners with great detangling and smoothing properties.

I tried out the Blow-Dry Concentrate and it totally delivered. Moroccanoil is best know for their best selling Original Treatment – a product that I love – so, I was expecting great things right off the bat. Btw, did you know that Moroccanoil is Canadian-based and woman-run? Amazing! Check out my video review on these products below:

While I don’t normally blow dry my hair opting to let it air dry after most washings, I was in a rush and used this product as described, after also using their amazing Smoothing Shampoo and Smoothing Conditioner (super moisturizing)

While my hair was still damp, I used 2 full pumps (I have a lot of hair), smoothed it into my strands from mid-length to the ends and blow dried. This product promises to cut drying time down considerably (I did find that it took a little less time than usual), and offer a super shiny, ultra smooth finish. My hair frankly, looked amazing. I proceeded to flat iron as usual to get the stick straight look and then added a little more concentrate to my hair as a finisher for even more shine.  What can I say? I’m a shine pig.

So, this product works. It’s a total “recommend”. My hair looked and felt amazing also smelled wonderful. Don’t worry about these oil-infused products weighing your hair down. They totally promote fabulous body and movement too.

Have you tried the Moroccanoil Blow-Dry Concentrate?  What did you think? Let me know in the comments!

I’ve used argan oil in my hair and loved it, haven’t tried moroccan yet! Would love to give it a chance!

I think you’ll like it, Alice! I had great results. Works on any type of hair. If your hair is on the finer side, go a little easier on the application. Thanks for reading!
