SD Beauty Review: Hard Candy Nail Polish in Pop-arazzi

Hey everybody!

Remember Hard Candy nail polish? I do!!  I used to be obsessed with the nail polish as a teenager.  I remember all of the awesome, hard-to-find colours, their saucy ads in Seventeen Magazine and YM, and the cute little plastic rings each bottle of nail polish came with that I used to collect.

Unfortunately, the line disappeared in the early 2000s and I always wondered what happened to it.  Well…it’s back…at Walmart.  The line seems to be much smaller now, and they still carry some cool colours, but the bottle has changed and alas, no super cool free ring.  Le sigh…

I had been after a nail polish with glitter that didn’t sparkle.  I wanted a “confetti” polish to create a sort of polka-dotted look.  I found a great option by ncLA, but they are not readily available where I live and didn’t want to shell out $16 USD, plus shipping, duty and taxes (being Canadian is expensive) for something that I may not have liked.

Anyways, I was thrilled when I found Hard Candy’s Pop-arazzi for only $3.98!  This is a clear polish loaded with multi-coloured “confetti”.  I would say the confetti looks like matte sparkles and the navy sparkle is larger than the rest.  It’s really fun, cute and works great for an accent nail and top coat.  Today, I used Pop-arazzi as a top coat over OPI’s My Vampire is Buff.  Check it out:

You collected the rings? How sweet is this?!
The revamped line hasn’t hit the UK yet, but I think I’ve got two oldies from about 2 years ago. A gold glitter and a purplish multichrome.

Cool! Yes! I think I got about three rings only because the polish was so expensive back then…. xo
