My new, current obsession is Aerin’s Lilac Path Body Cream. I stumbled upon this little gem a few months ago while restocking my favourite empties at Nordstrom.
Aerin Lilac Path perfume is among my favourites, and I thought I would pick up the body moisturizer to layer the scent for added staying power. Well – that little impulse buy was the best one of the summer!
This perfume embodies springtime – something that I’m naturally attracted to as I hate suffering through the Canadian winter. With its top notes of lilac, it reminds me of springtime in June, where lilacs are in full bloom all over my city. This perfume, funnily enough, was inspired by the huge lilac bushes that surrounded Estée Lauder’s summer cottage (Estée just happens to be the late grandmother of Aerin Lauder). This perfume also has notes of crisp greens and soft base notes of delicate florals, Galbanum, jasmine, Angelica seed oil and orange flower. Love everything about it – especially its soft, feminine scent that seems to attract people!
The moisturizer is a perfect complement to the perfume. With the exact same scent, it is thick and rich, and once applied, gives the skin a really nice soft sheen. It moisturizes all day, and I truly feel that my skin feels better since I’ve started using it. Best of all, this fragrance lasts all day, unlike a lot of scented moisturizers. I chalk this up to the fact that it is full of top quality ingredients.
I admit it – I’m a drawn to pretty packaging, and this tube of moisturizer delivers! All of Aerin’s packaging is inspired by textile designs pulled from her own fashion line. This particular design is called “Marila” – a mix to two prints creating this pretty batik look.

Any time! I was lucky with that purchase. A local string of electronic stores was being bought out by Best Buy and I got the camera super on sale.
