Makeup Remover All-Stars | Bioderma Hydrabio, Sensibio And Sébium

I couldn’t have discovered Bioderma at a better time. I was enjoying a festival pass to Bluesfest, enjoying night after night of great live music with my friends. Picture me freaking out to Snoop Dogg, Lady Gaga and Blondie, simply having the time of my life. We would arrive at opening and stay ’til closing, each day ending with me collapsing face first on my bed due to too many hours under the sun and one too many summery cocktails.

One Saturday morning, sick of makeup covered pillowcases, I dragged myself to Shoppers Drug Mart to get some makeup remover wipes. I thought they’d be perfect to wipe the days sins off quickly and help out my poor makeup-clogged face. Bioderma’s Sensibio H20 Makeup Removing Wipes caught my eye with their brightly coloured package and I decided to give them a whirl.

They were fantastic. I kept the package next to my bed and that night, I removed the concealer, blush and eyeliner effortlessly. The great thing I noticed is that my skin also improved over the next five days. It felt softer, smoother and a little “glowier” which defied all sense, since I was pretty much subsisting on a diet of wine spritzers, poutine and chocolate fondue (a.k.a. The Bluesfest Diet).

Now a devoted fan, I’ve tried out most of the Bioderma line, so I’m bringing you my review of these highly effective makeup removing products.

Bioderma Hydrabio H20 Moisturizing Make-up Removing Micelle Solution

Bioderma’s Hydrabio line is great for dry and dehydrated skin. Perfect for winter weather, it provides a surge of hydration to parched skin suffering from the elements and indoor heating, while effectively removing all traces of makeup. It’s particularly great for removing stubborn eye makeup. Paraben-free and completely hypoallergenic, this solution is so gentle that it soothes sensitive skin and requires no rinsing after applying to your face. It also balances skin’s pH therefore reducing breakouts. Hydrabio is also fragrance-free and non-comedogenic (does not cause breakouts).

I reach for Hydrabio during these winter months as I suffer from a couple of small patches of eczema on my face and Hydrabio keeps my skin calm without further irritating those dry patches.

Bioderma Sensibio H20 Make-up Removing Micelle Solution

Sensibio is Bioderma’s darling with one bottle sold around the world every two seconds! Mind boggling – but I guess not surprising, as it is so effective. It is great at removing super stubborn eye makeup (and lip stains – a pleasant discovery), while soothing sensitive skin. Instructions include soaking a cotton pad with Sensibio and gently removing makeup until the cotton pad is clear. No matter how many times I’ve had to soak a cotton pad to remove my makeup with Sensibio, my skin never dries out or feels irritated. Sensibio is also hypoallergenic, fragrance, alcohol and paraben-free. This is my little makeup removing darling too.

Bioderma Sébium H20 Purifying Cleansing Micelle Solution

I like to wear a little makeup when I work out. I can’t help it! I like to look pretty while hitting the weights! I keep a bottle of Bioderma’s Sébium in my bag for removing the little bit of blush and concealer I apply to keep myself from looking like a pallid, sleep-deprived Dom at the gym. A few quick swipes of this freshly-scented solution completely removes my makeup along with sweat and oil, and I feel like it preps my skin for my beloved 10 minute sauna sessions after a hard workout.

Sébium contains “Fluidactiv™”,  a patented correcting complex that regulates oily skin to prevent clogged pores and helps to clear any breakouts. I love that it doesn’t dry out my skin at all and leaves me looking glowy.

Me too. The normal size bottles are quite large, which is great since you get so much for your money, but I love the smaller option too.

My friend swears by this, I’ve tried samples but have never purchased a full bottle. It is pretty pricey here in Malaysia…

Oh no! Why don’t you try reaching out to the company to see if you could get some press samples? It’s so inexpensive in N. America!
