Crushing On Givenchy Live Irrésistible Rosy Crush

There have been many special occasions in my life where I have treated myself to a new fragrance – here are a few of note:

  • When I got married, I bought Givenchy Hot Couture, and each time I wear it (which is often), I’m reminded of that special day;
  • I picked up Givenchy Amarige during my fabulous trip to Spain; and
  • Givenchy Dahlia Noir was a spontaneous purchase after several glasses of Moët at the Bellagio in Vegas. Lol – sigh.

We all know that scent is closely linked to memory, therefore I relish spritzing on my favourite scents and being transported back to great times in my life.

Givenchy Live Irrésistible Rosy Crush

Funnily enough, Givenchy Live Irrésistible Rosy Crush was delivered to me the day I received news that I will be taking a special trip with my husband! I opened the perfume excitedly and tried it out, while my mind swam with thoughts of the trip.

It just so happened that Valentine’s Day is tomorrow also and this perfume embodies the best traits of the day of love: romance, spontaneity, joie de vivre and love, of course.

Givenchy’s latest fragrance features rose, blended with goji berries with a patchouli based-chypre accord. A very floral scent, it’s both sexy and innocent…perfect for drawing in that loved one you want to sneak a few kisses from.

Givenchy Le Rose Perfecto

Givenchy also sent along a set of some of my fave lipsticks: Le Rose Perfecto ($45 CAD). These have a permanent place in my handbag thanks to their nice mix of colour and lip care.

Creamy and quite pigmented, they soothe your poor winter-beaten lips while adding a nice pop of colour. Known for their lip-plumping quality, Le Rose Perfecto leaves you with hydrated, kissable lips.

Here is a quick rundown of the colours I received:

Glazed Beige: Glazed Beige is a creamy beige with a hint of pink that looks great with a deep smokey eye. I like to outline my lips with my favourite chocolate-coloured lip liner and add Glazed Beige over White Shield (see below). The resulting look is a creamy nude perfect for daytime.

Timeless Pink: Timeless Pink is the perfect shade of rose to give your lips a healthy, pink glow. Translucent and shiny, I use it when I want a hint of colour when I’m on the go.

Cosmic Plum: A personal favourite, Cosmic Plum is a deep, glossy plum tone that is sexy and perfect for both day or night.

White Shield: With its iridescent translucence, White Shield provides a beautiful gloss with a subtle shimmer, or provides a perfect shimmery gloss to any of your favourite lipsticks.

Which fragrances evoke favourite memories for you? Let me know in the comments and have a wonderful Valentine’s Day!

    You don’t say! Givenchy is leading me into temptation. I don’t use lipsticks, but these, …even if its to decorate my dressing table 😅😅
