#FeatureFriday: Coralie’s Closet Shares Her All-Star Makeup Team

One of the things I love most about blogging is meeting other like-minded bloggers. Over the past year, I’ve been lucky to meet and learn from some of the most stylish, smart and interesting bloggers that seem a little hidden away in our somewhat stuffy, conservative city. While at home brainstorming ideas for future blog posts, I thought it would be a great idea to feature some of my favourite bloggers on Style Domination. #FeatureFriday was soon born!

I started following Coralie’s Instagram early in 2015. Her beautifully curated pictures really caught my eye along with her amazing wardrobe, flowing hair and incredible sense of style. I was fortunate enough to meet her at a festival fashion photo shoot and was thrilled to discover she had a warm and fun personality to go with her model looks.

So, to kick off #FeatureFriday, I’ll be featuring the lovely Coralie and the all-stars in her beauty arsenal.

Coralie Profile CircleMy name is Coralie. I’m a 23-year-old style, beauty and lifestyle blogger hailing from Haiti, but living and enjoying life in Canada’s capital, Ottawa. My love for fashion has been with me from a young age and has been joined by a love for all things beauty. That, combined with my habit of over sharing, has brought me to the blogging world today to share with you some of my favourite makeup items.

Red Lipstick: Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Cruella

Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Cruella

This is a recent favourite of mine since getting it as the birthday gift of the year at Sephora. I looove it! Like the girl at Sephora helping me said, it’s a ‘man-killer’ red and definitely a show stopper! I like that it’s in this jumbo pencil packaging, which makes it more convenient and easy to apply. The colour and formula are beautiful; a deep but bright red in a long-lasting matte finish. You all need to get your hands on this one and give it a try! I really think it will suit each complexion, so it’s really kinda perfect!

Concealer: L.A. Girl Pro Concealer

L.A. Girl Pro Concealer

I absolutely love this concealer! It works amazingly at both cancelling out the darkness under my eyes as well as giving me a little bit of a highlighted look. I use it for all my makeup looks, and I like that it has a great, creamy consistency and is very blendable. It’s a real life saver for those days where I didn’t quite get my beauty sleep, but the best part has to be how affordable it is!

Mascara: Clinique High Impact Mascara

This is another recent favourite of mine. I usually don’t make too much of a fuss when it comes to mascara. They all usually work pretty well for me, but there’s just something about this one that made me feel like I should include it in this list. The formula is really nice, it lengthens your lashes and doesn’t leave them feeling hard and crispy, which is great because you don’t end up with that awful flakey mascara mess under your eyes.

Highlighter: Benefit Sun Beam

Benefit Sun Beam and Covergirl Clean Pressed Powder

This highlighter is pretty much “greek sun goddess glow” in a bottle. It gives the skin this gorgeous golden glow that I love! I prefer liquid and cream highlighters to powder ones since they really melt into the skin giving you a more natural dewy finish, and less of that ‘I just swiped a bunch of glitter on my face’ look.

Powder: Covergirl Clean Pressed Powder

I’m not much of a foundation girl. It’s one too many steps in my routine. Well, not really, I just want to wake up flawless with no effort…. I just want to be Beyoncé, ok? So, I usually save foundation for special occasions or if I feel like doing a little bit more to my face. For my day to day face, I like to stick to a light powder just to even out my skin. That’s exactly what this powder does. It’s not heavy, it lets my skin breathe and gives me even, natural, beautiful, easy breezy looking skin.

There you have it! Some of my favourite makeup looks in my collection. I want to know if you’ve used any of these products. How did you get along with them? Leave Dominique and I your thoughts in the comments section.

Speaking of the lovely Dominique, I’d like to sneak in a quick but big thank you to her for the collaboration and sharing my beauty picks with you all. Thanks Dom!!!

And thank you, Coralie!

xo,
