Ever try going to a brow bar? No? You should. Why risk the horror of accidentally plucking your poor eyebrows to pencil-thin apostrophes when you can achieve Cara Delevingne-esque brow status? As I look at my own brows that are getting more and more sparse with each passing year, I thought I would look up a brow bar and treat myself to a little microblading appointment.
I soon found Eden Eyebrows across the bridge in Hull. I was intrigued! This brow bar which is generating a ton of buzz is in a cute little, red brick house on Rue Wellington, a popular area dotted with cute cafés, restaurants and stylish boutiques. Best of all, Eden Eyebrows specializes only in eyebrows, offering both consultations and eyebrows fixes for those who went a little nuts with their Tweezermans.
Last week, I met up with Eden Eyebrows owner, Chantal Bergeron and toured her spotless, light-filled space. While speaking to Chantal, a steady stream of walk-ins came in looking to have their brows whipped into shape. I was impressed.
Chantal has worked as a brow specialist for eight years, and fell into this line of work by fluke. Working as an esthetician for 12 years, she had a regular group of clients who followed her to each new job. She thought it was time to become self-employed, and rented a space where she offered microblading and business soon boomed. Seeing a gap in the Hull/Ottawa market, she became obsessed with opening a brow bar. It was time to offer clients a dedicated service and soon Eden Eyebrows was born.
A true professional, Chantal sits with each client to assess her needs. Before she starts, she’ll ask the client questions so that she knows exactly how to proceed according to the clients needs and wants. People have come in trying to remedy eyebrow massacres with makeup, but that will only take them so far. Chantal can fix almost anything with careful shaping and plucking, and if you want, microblading that can mean the world of difference for some clients. Take for example the client with alopecia who didn’t have eyebrows until she had careful microblading by Chantal. The client cried, she was so happy with the end product.
Best of all, Chantal is warm and fun. Speaking to her that day felt like hanging out with an old friend. I immediately felt at ease with her. And frankly, while talking to her, I couldn’t help but stare and her perfectly shaped, full brows.
Clients visiting Eden Eyebrows can have their eyebrows shaped and tinted in the airy front room. Waxing, microblading, lash extensions and permanent eyebrow services take place on comfy beds in the backroom. Eden welcomes men to the comfortable brow bar also.
Eden Eyebrows will be holding a grand opening party on August 27th, 2018 from 5pm – 7pm. Come join us and use this opportunity to treat yourself to some of her stellar services! I cannot wait to try out microblading to fill out the gaps from my own tweezer-happy mistakes!
Eden Eyebrows is located at 133-A, rue Wellington in Hull, Québec (just over the Chaudière Bridge). You can also find Eden Eyebrows on Instagram and Facebook.
Could I make an appointment to come in and talk with you about my aging, sparse eyebrows?
thanks,
Karen
