I look down at my sore, bitten legs and wonder if Reese, my little puppy thinks I’m one giant chew toy. I let out a sigh of exasperation as I wrestle an actual chew toy into his mouth to distract him from my apparently delicious toes.
It’s now 9:30pm and time to put him to bed. It’s also bath time…time to pour myself an extra large glass of red and slip into my giant soaker tub.
Some Motown plays gently from my Bluetooth speaker, the candles surrounding the bathtub are lit, and the red wine is already dulling the pain of “Death By a Thousand Puppy Bites”. I’m also exhausted and hope to watch a couple of episodes of Grace & Frankie before bed, so I pour a little refreshing Lemon Lemongrass Vitalising Bath Essence into the warm water to wake me up a bit.
This thick, rich bath oil by Dr. Hauschka is pretty sinful. It smells of lemon drops and soothes the driest of skin. Already, my calves are feeling less tight and the stress of fending off Nippy McNipperton soon melts away along with the fatigue.
Dr. Hauscka’s Lemon Lemongrass Vitalising Bath Essence is made with sunflower oil which leaves your skin incredibly soft and moisturized. In fact, I skip moisturizing after using this energizing bath oil. Sitting in the tub soaking in the lemony water soothes away the day’s stresses. I feel nothing can ruin this time, not even my usual panicking at leaving my phone in another room.
After a blissful 30 minute soak, I feel like a new person. I turn around and I’m greeted by a sleepy puppy who gnawed his way out of his crate. This little mound of shiny curls and puppy love melts my heart and I scoop him up and take him back to bed.
Dr. Hauschka’s Lemon Lemongrass Vitalising Bath Essence is natural and organic, free of synthetic fragrances, dyes and preservatives, free of parabens and silicones and not tested on animals.
*A huge thank you to Dr. Hauschka for providing this press sample in exchange for my honest opinion. Please note that I have been buying this product on my own for years after it was recommended to me by one of my favourite beauty bloggers, Daly Beauty.
What a cute way to do this post. I remember when my dog was a pup. I don’t remember getting many puppy bites, but she never wanted to stay in her crate at night. She always wanted to come sleep on the bed. They are super cute as puppies — I really love how oversize their paws are at the age.

Honestly! Reese’s paws are like pancakes. I’m anxious to see how big he’ll get. The breeder says 30-40lbs. He’s going to be so cute! LOL!
I will definitely give this one a try!
