Concept Medical: Ottawa’s Boutique Medical Cosmetic Clinic

So, you’ve tried every eye cream out there, but the tired bags and hollows under your eyes are still visible. You have a couple of sunspots that just won’t go away and you can’t help but focus on them each time you look in the mirror. A patchy, thin beard and mustache have popped up and it doesn’t quite go with your red lipstick. I’m very curious about fillers and plan to eventually indulge one day. I have deep lines under my eyes along with discolouration and they are most definitely getting worse as time wears on. It’s the one thing about myself that makes me insecure. I mean, I feel energetic and lively, but the image staring back at me in the mirror looks sleep-deprived. I’ve booked appointments to receive fillers in the past, but have always chickened out. I’m working up to it..that needle just kills me though!!!

I was contacted by Concept Medical for a collaboration and I couldn’t help but be curious and excited! Dr. Samuel Hetz, Concept Medical’s Medical Director met me for a lunch hour chat about Concept Medical’s vision and how they help people feel their best. I felt truly comfortable in their welcoming and beautiful space.

Concept Medical – Skincare and Beauty

In addition to their extensive list of services, Concept Medical offers clients a range of great cosmetics and skincare. I picked up Neo Cutis Lumière Eye Cream – a stellar product available only through physicians’ offices. This particular eye cream is one of the first I’ve tried that effectively hydrates my delicate eye area while not causing my makeup to slide right off. Thick and creamy, it boosted the quality of my skin. My fine lines are less noticeable and I love the dewy glow it gives me without the use of shimmer. This eye cream also features hyaluronic acid as a main ingredient and I have noticed a slight plumping effect in the sad hollows under my eyes. Using it first thing in the morning also has reduced puffiness, thanks to its high levels of caffeine.

I also picked up a bottle of Infiniderm liquid facial cleanser which is specially made for Concept Medical. It’s foamy formula was stellar at removing the inch of concealer I slathered on and left my skin feeling soft and supple. A huge bonus is this cleanser’s wonderful papaya scent!

I’m really excited to proceed with a few treatments in the coming months. Starting with laser hair removal (review to come in a later post), I will eventually work my way up to a facial tune-up of some sort. I’m determined to go into the summer season feeling and looking like a took a long, fabulous vacation that involved tons of beauty sleep.
