So, you’ve tried every eye cream out there, but the tired bags and hollows under your eyes are still visible. You have a couple of sunspots that just won’t go away and you can’t help but focus on them each time you look in the mirror. A patchy, thin beard and mustache have popped up and it doesn’t quite go with your red lipstick. What do you do? Well, you get a little help in the form of treatments that improve your look and boost your confidence.
In comes Concept Medical.
Now, plastic surgery and other invasive beauty treatments are still a little taboo in our society. I’ve discussed getting Botox and fillers with friends and family to resounding pleas to not do it. “Why do you want to pump your face full of plastic??? I mean, look at Celebrity X’s lips!! They are RIDICULOUS. YOU are being ridiculous!!” Sigh. This is exactly what I’m talking about. Obnoxious protesting aside, I understand the worry. I really don’t want to end up looking like a Real Housewife – a little puffy and devoid of expression. In addition, I notice in some cities, women start to look the same because they all frequent the same doctor for the same treatments! Again…I just want to look like me, but better.
I’m very curious about fillers and plan to eventually indulge one day. I have deep lines under my eyes along with discolouration and they are most definitely getting worse as time wears on. It’s the one thing about myself that makes me insecure. I mean, I feel energetic and lively, but the image staring back at me in the mirror looks sleep-deprived. I’ve booked appointments to receive fillers in the past, but have always chickened out. I’m working up to it..that needle just kills me though!!!
About Concept Medical
I was contacted by Concept Medical for a collaboration and I couldn’t help but be curious and excited! Dr. Samuel Hetz, Concept Medical’s Medical Director met me for a lunch hour chat about Concept Medical’s vision and how they help people feel their best. The clinic features a group of physicians who focus on aesthetic medicine and medical skin procedures, so I knew I would be in great hands.
I also loved the fact that they offer more than just aesthetic treatments. Concept Medical also specializes in Botox to reduce migraines and hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), intense pulse light (IPL) treatments for rosacea, skin cancer and mole removal, painless fat reduction, body contouring techniques, and much more!
Back to the aesthetics though (lol), I was comforted by the fact that Dr. Hetz spoke at length about the importance of achieving a natural look in respect to Botox and fillers. I appreciated Dr. Hetz’s honesty about treatments I could benefit from and others he felt I didn’t need and outright wouldn’t do. He was honest without making me feel silly or uninformed. I felt truly comfortable in their welcoming and beautiful space.
Concept Medical – Skincare and Beauty
In addition to their extensive list of services, Concept Medical offers clients a range of great cosmetics and skincare. I picked up Neo Cutis Lumière Eye Cream – a stellar product available only through physicians’ offices. This particular eye cream is one of the first I’ve tried that effectively hydrates my delicate eye area while not causing my makeup to slide right off. Thick and creamy, it boosted the quality of my skin. My fine lines are less noticeable and I love the dewy glow it gives me without the use of shimmer. This eye cream also features hyaluronic acid as a main ingredient and I have noticed a slight plumping effect in the sad hollows under my eyes. Using it first thing in the morning also has reduced puffiness, thanks to its high levels of caffeine.
I also picked up a bottle of Infiniderm liquid facial cleanser which is specially made for Concept Medical. It’s foamy formula was stellar at removing the inch of concealer I slathered on and left my skin feeling soft and supple. A huge bonus is this cleanser’s wonderful papaya scent!
Concept Medical also offers a few very high-quality cosmetics lines including Colorescience Mineral Makeup (which offers a great sunscreen-based mineral makeup – Sunforgettable Brush-On Sunscreen SPF 50) and Elta MD.
I’m really excited to proceed with a few treatments in the coming months. Starting with laser hair removal (review to come in a later post), I will eventually work my way up to a facial tune-up of some sort. I’m determined to go into the summer season feeling and looking like a took a long, fabulous vacation that involved tons of beauty sleep.

Hi Lisa Elaine!
Unfortunately, I don’t. This is a great idea though. How about I do a “february favourites” post and include this eye cream and a few before and after pics for ya?
Take care and thanks for reading! xoxoxo
I recently started laser hair removal for my facial hair and I’m really looking forward to amazing results.

I’m a diehard fan. I have done a few areas of my body, and if I could afford to go all Kim Kardashian and do it from head to toe, I would! You’ll love the results! xo
Thank you for the information. I do think people should follow what makes them happy. 🙂

Me too, Tanvi. Life is too short to live with something you can change easily.
i LOVE how open and honest you are in this article and that you were able to get some great information! I always jump on both sides of the fence on this topic. I don’t want to use any fillers etc. because i’ve come to like the way my body is aging, BUT i totally want a nose job. wtf. Anywhoo, even though you have genetic perfection as a constant accessory I’m so glad you are delving into this world and bringing us along with you! PS; you will LOVE laser hair removal – had it done years ago and never looked back – best solution for the lazy girl 😉

YOU WANT A NOSE JOB??? Why??? It’s not like you have a potato for a nose like me! LOL! You are beautiful…I would have never guessed you wanted to change your nose. I’m all for plastic surgery and little tweaks here and there. Just like a fine wine, you should enjoy these things in moderation. I do believe these treatments though are like tattoos – totally addictive, so you have to be diligent about not overdoing it.
As for the laser hair removal? It’s the best thing I’ve ever done. I wish I could do it from head to toe. LOL!
What an amazing review! Thank you for taking a stand on embracing what you have and showing it off. Concept Medical sounds like an fantastic place! I love the products you highlighted! I also love taking care of my skin!

Hey Debbie!! Thanks for your comment, girl!! I think women are really hard on themselves and prone to being judgmental. I have met so many women who’ve had breast implants, nose jobs, lipo, Botox – you name it and none of them regret it. All of them are thrilled with the results…so what is wrong with that? Nothing.
Concept Medical was truly open and wonderful and I’m so happy they reached out. I learned a lot and can’t wait to indulge in a few treatments!
I loved this review! You were so thorough especially when talking about the eye cream. Makes me really want to try that one!
