With each passing day, the sun is shining brighter and warmer, the snow is receding and signs of spring are all around. Thank goodness…because I didn’t think I could survive another month of snow, chills and freezing rain.
Around this time of year, I start to ramp up my already obsessive skincare regimen. While the past couple of years have been amazing skin-wise, there are a few little areas that I further want to work on to achieve even glowing skin. I also want to stave off the dreaded “tech neck” – a dead giveaway of someone’s true age and hopeless addiction to smart phones.

In comes Les Soins de Jacynthe. Made with pure ingredients and containing no chemicals such as petroleum by-products, artificial fragrances or preservatives, this line focuses on providing amazing skincare by using pure, 100% natural ingredients such as essential oils, fatty acids, carotenoids and natural Vitamin E – all chosen for their excellent anti-wrinkle properties. In addition, Jacynthe’s entire line of skincare is handmade by Luc Larivée, an esthetic aromatheraphy expert. This is no surprise, as the cleansing oil and Bulgarian Rose floral water smell heavenly.

Now – wrinkles are not really my primary concern at this moment, but bright, even skin is. I’ve been using the Les Soins de Jacynthe Beauty Essentials Set for the past several weeks to kick start the summer prep process. Using this set comprised of cleansing oil, Bulgarian Rose floral water and Jacynthe’s Serum has really given me a beautiful dewy glow! Couple that regime with cutting out the vast amounts of rosé I’ve been drinking….I’m well on my way to summer ready skin.
This cleansing oil is seriously amazing. The oil is light and smells wonderful, does not feel thick and greasy at all and is highly recommended for acne-prone skin, as it contains several “active” ingredients which do not irritate already sensitive acneic skin. It also regulates sebum, therefore reducing future acne breakouts.
It was highly effective at removing a full face of makeup, including my stubborn (and awesome) Chanel waterproof black eyeliner. It also did not leave my skin feeling grubby or greasy and after washing my face with my favourite cleanser, I didn’t really need to moisturize (but did anyways).
This oil is made with jojoba, sandalwood and apricot oils, sea buckthorn, bourbon, geranium rosa and ylang ylang.
*Side note: DO NOT LEAVE THIS PRODUCT IN THE SHOWER! The heat and steam will diminish the effects of its active ingredients. Wash your face before stepping in the shower!
I absolutely LOVE the Bulgarian Rose Floral Water. I have been using it religiously for the past three weeks after using the cleansing oil. It smells heavenly of Bulgarian rose – which is one of the softest, most delicate rose scents.
I spray my face and neck liberally with the floral water, and then apply the serum while my skin is still damp. Using the floral water twice daily has definitely kept my skin more hydrated, and the annoying little, mild patch of eczema on my cheek has since disappeared.
Ok – I LOVE THIS SERUM. It does wonders for moisturizing my skin all day. While I love my Estée Lauder Day Wear Moisturizer, I sometimes noticed on the very cold days that it wasn’t cutting it…and my face would pretty much crack if I tried to show any sort of expression. Not a good look. With this serum though, my skin remained soft and moisturized all day, and since it is oil-based, I rocked a dewy glow from morning until night. It absorbed into my skin readily without leaving an oily, greasy finish. I would say the only drawback of this product is that it smells – to me – primarily of one of its main ingredients “borage” which can be described as very “plant-like or woodsy”. This is expected though as this line is entirely plant-based.
What is perfect about the serum is that it is loaded with great ingredients such as evening primrose, rosehip and sea buckthorn oils, all of which are rich is essential fatty acids that prevent inflammation, maintain skin elasticity and regulates water loss (minimizing wrinkles) – all primary functions of skin.
The serum also contains carotenoids which are great for regenerating rough, damaged skin, increasing cell turnover (fresh, new skin), collagen production (increasing the fatty volume of the face reducing the look of such things like hollowed out cheeks), increasing skin elasticity and scar formation and healing. It’s also great for repairing sun damage. Miracle in a bottle!
Incredibly happy with these products! I give this a big A+++ for performance!

This product looks interesting- I haven’t seen this before! I have bookmarked this post so if I ever have those days where my skin feels dull and not very refreshed, I can pick this up. Neat post! I’m glad that it’s all-natural ingredients- that’s one of the most important things I think about when finding products for my skin.
