My under-eye circles have reached a new level of shameful over the past few weeks. I’m trying everything to look a little bit fresher and more awake, but the early morning wakeup times (the struggle and hatred of mornings is REAL) coupled with another bout of the cold and I’m losing this battle against the Evil Forces of Aggressive Under-Eye Bags.
Well, it looks like the Universe sensed my under-eye troubles and a couple of samples of AlumierMD showed up on my doorstep, including the popular AluminEye Brightening Eye Cream. I got to testing immediately…full review and results below.
Alumier MD is only sold by professionals who are trained to assess your skin. They will guide you on which products from the line would work best for you as the line’s ingredients are stronger than those found in typical skincare. This company also has a huge focus on sustainability which is great. They are always working to reduce their carbon footprint. Their packaging is all recycled material and none of their products are tested on animals.
AluminEye Brightening Eye Cream
My current favourite AlumierMD product is the AluminEye Brightening Eye Cream. This product promises to reduce puffiness, dark circles and the appearance of fine lines. Most of my money goes towards discovering a product that will make me look like I got a year’s worth of sleep. So far, I’m pretty happy with the results of using this cream over the past month.
This eye cream consists of tremella mushroom extract (extremely hydrating), niacinamide (anti-inflammatory) and murumuru butter (ultra moisturizing). It’s no wonder AluminEye has superior moisturizing qualities. This eye cream also contains peptides which work to lessen fine lines. It also reduces puffiness, and lightens dark circles. AluminEye contains light-reflecting, soft focus ingredients to further give you an “awake” look.
Here are my favourite eye cream application tips to help you get the most out of this eye cream:
- Only use a small amount. No need to slather it on! A little goes a long way.
- Use your ring finger to apply the product to ensure the most gentle application.
- Dab the product on gently underneath the eye and around the entire orbital bone. No pulling and stretching!
- Eye cream usually spreads about an inch after being applied, so apply the cream an inch away from your peepers.
- Dab and lightly massage the cream towards the corners of your eye to increase lymphatic drainage.
- Let the product sink in for a few minutes before applying your makeup.
The Verdict
After about a month of using this eye cream, I have definitely noticed a reduction in puffiness. My undereye area also looks a little lighter. As I mentioned, ensure that you are applying this cream an inch away from your eyes as it can sting!
AlumierMD AluminEye is paraben-, sulphate-, fragrance-, dye- and mineral oil-free.
AlumierMD Ultimate Boost Serum
Over the past year, I’ve really gotten into serums. I have to admit that before that, I felt that they were just an expensive, confusing add-on when buying skincare products. Fortunately for my face and neck, I educated myself on the advantages of a great serum.
What I learned through my intense net-surfing is that serums are applied after cleansing to deliver intense ingredients to the skin before moisturizing.
AlumierMD’s Ultimate Boost Serum does just that. It delivers moisturizing, anti-aging ingredients straight to your pretty face. In fact, Ultimate Boost Serum is the most moisturizing serum I’ve ever used.
Despite it being very moisturizing, it’s lightweight and feels comfortable on the skin. It’s ingredient list is composed of sodium hyaluronate and niacinamide which boosts the skin’s hydration. Special ingredients such as Matrixyl Synthe 6® promote collagen and elastin production which reduces the appearance of wrinkles. They also plump the skin for a glowy, youthful appearance. This serum is also loaded with antioxidants to protect from sun damage and pollution. I suspect that it would be really great for those with dry skin.
The Verdict
After using the product for several weeks, my skin is noticeably softer. An added bonus was that my makeup went on much smoother and more evenly too!
Like AluminEye, AlumierMD Ultimate Boost Serum is paraben-, sulphate-, fragrance-, dye- and mineral oil-free.
I’m glad that I finally got educated fully on the advantages of high-quality skincare. I truly feel that investing in your skin pays off and taking the time to try out physician-grade skincare is worth the cost.
