Meet Anne-Marie Bouchard. A friend of mine for years, she is an extremely talented photographer. To describe her as kind, funny and engaging is an overwhelming understatement.
I remember the first time I met her, I was thoroughly impressed by this young lady who travels the world shooting beautiful weddings. Her lifestyle photography focusing on warm pictures of children and families is stellar.
The day I finally got around to checking out her photography blog was the day I realized that wedding photography truly is an art. I was floored by her original and unique pictures that conveyed the happiness, joy and celebration of happy couples. She truly is not your average wedding photographer with no cheesy shots in her portfolio at all. Anne-Marie’s photography is warm and dreamy, and she captures her subjects in such interesting angles and light. Another sign of her expertise is that she can take beautiful pictures in local areas, but she does so in such a way that it’s fresh and new. Anne-Marie frames her shots so well that you can rarely tell that she’s shooting in popular photography locales in Ottawa. Well done.
Here is a little sampling of her work:
We chose a chilly, fall day to head to Westboro Beach here in Ottawa. The location was perfect – the sandy beach dotted with weathered trees, driftwood and reeds swaying in the wind set the perfect backdrop.
Anne-Marie chose to use film for our photoshoot, thus resulting in the lovely, dreamy glow of these photos. Sigh – just love it.
I hope you enjoy these shots as much as I do – I’m still floored at how beautifully this photoshoot turned out.
