As I sit here agonizing over goodies to get for the fave men in my life (Daddy-o, Ryan-o, Reesie-o), I thought I would put together a list of things to spoil our fave dudes this season. So, sit back, relax…and let’s hear it for the boys!!
I am thinking of treating the Hubs to one of these beautiful suitcases as he travels a lot. They are built tough, look great and come complete with a charging port for his device. Also, I can steal it from him the minute he unwraps it.
So, you want to gift that special workout-aholic in your life? How about the gift of personal training? Spending time with a trainer to brush up on your form, learn new techniques and get a meal plan can take his workout game to the next level.
Premium Performance Fitness here in Ottawa is a great place for your loved one to up his fitness game. The knowledgeable and approachable trainers will guide you on how to maximize your fitness and lead your most healthy life.
Personal training at this gym was a gamechanger for me…a great way to start off 2019! Gift certificates are available at the gym too, so take advantage!
Every guy I know loves a great quality scotch. I don’t know too much about them other than the fact that there are smoky, peaty, caramelly, etc. options out there. And every man looks great sipping a fine scotch.
Smart speakers not only make your life better, it’s super cool to scream out: “Computer! Tell me how amazing I am.”
The second-generation Amazon Echo proves to be a great speaker with a nice, minimalist design, and some pretty cool AI functions that really help around the house. Get one for the special dude in your life and hopefully, he’ll stop asking you questions like: “How do you spell ‘Manolo Blahnik’?”
By the way, at $99, the price is pretty hard to beat.
As the wife of a man who likes to cozy up in his practically soundproof man cave, I know this gift would go over well. We live in a neighbourhood populated by seemingly millions of kids who are always canvassing for their fundraisers. Then there are the evenings where The Hubs likes to watch Fast & Furious 7 at volume 100. Hearing the doorbell in either of these cases just does not happen.
With the Ring Video Doorbell, you can answer the doorbell from anywhere through your synced mobile device/tablet or PC. He can decide whether or not to buy chocolates/Girl Guide Cookies or continue watching The Rock slam Jason Statham into a glass coffee table (fast forward to 2:18…or watch the whole awesome video).
Ok – bear with me here. I’m going to write this and attempt to not gross you all out. I LOVE MEN’S COLOGNE. It’s sexy…and there is something so particularly sexy about a handsome man wearing a great cologne. It does something to me!
Creed Aventus is sex in a bottle. It smells unlike any other cologne out there with its notes of bergamot, blackcurrent, birch, patchouli and a hint of vanilla.
This is the House of Creed’s best selling fragrance, which to me, is frankly a miracle as it retails for $540 at Nordstrom Canada. Hey – he’s worth it, but still…ouch.
A few years ago we attended a Christmas party at a friend’s house. Our friend had just received the Nintendo NES Classic Edition as a gift and when he brought it out, everyone cheered.
drunkenly happily played the 30 classic games already pre-loaded on the console which left us girls able to drunkenly discuss what it may be like to be married to non-children. *snicker* I kid, I kid.
Know a hottie with a beard? Gift him with some nice things to keep it soft and well-kept as opposed to unruly and Grizzly Adams-ish.
Earlier this year, I visited the Calabogie Motorsports Park (you can read about that experience here) and it was a BLAST!!! Basically, you can buy packages which allow you to bring your own performance vehicle up to the track or rent one (Mustangs, Lambos and more). Most packages include race car training and track time which is the most thrilling experience ever for that special dude in your life.
Tickets to The Big Game
Ryan is a diehard sportsfan with basketball, football and baseball being his favourites – in that order! A lover of experiences, live sports are a favourite of his.
If you have the budget, consider gifting your loved one with tickets to see his favourite team. Doesn’t have to be pro-sports either as both college and local teams offer up major thrills.
If you do go the pro-team route, bring your wallet. Oftentimes, the tickets alone break the bank and don’t forget that the experience may have to include travel and accommodation expenses, not to mention food and alcohol costs too. Trust me – watching him bolt upright, popcorn and hotdogs flying and cheering like a madman alongside 50,000 other fans is so worth it.
Enjoy the Holiday shopping! Hope this list helps! xo
