I See London, I See France, I See Dominique’s Underpants

In the rush to get to this photoshoot, I forgot my jeans at home to pair with this fab red blazer. I FORGOT MY FREAKING PANTS. My brain had clearly checked out. There was no turning back too. As this took place on Good Friday, all stores were closed and I was a 35 minute drive from home. GAH!

Zara Red Blazer

God bless my photographer’s heart though. He took one look at the red blazer, noted that it seemed long enough and said: “Let’s wing it.” I’m thanking the fashion gods right now that this blazer was just long enough to cover my bootay.

As per usual, while shopping for something I actually needed, Zara’s gravitational pulled nabbed me and I floated into the store. I admit – I was shopping under the influence too. I had just met my girls for cocktails at The Albion Rooms and knew that I shouldn’t have had that last prosecco. Anyways, while zipping through the mall to pick up bandaids, I veered into Zara as my Spidey sense picked up on something. Never wrong, my sixth sense brought me to a coral-coloured, three-quarter length blazer that was so bright and so fabulous, it begged to be tried on.

Zara is known for making a great, damn blazer. They fit remarkably well for the price! I slipped this one on and the shoulders sat perfectly, the shiny silver buttons gleamed, and the fit at the waist seemed like it was made especially for me. Before I knew it, I was handing my credit card to the cashier…again.

You forgot your pants?! LOL! I thought that part was funny – and the “let’s wing it” part! The bright color blazer is striking and it’s great that it was able to cover up what you did not want to be shown in the photo shoot!!!

The fashion Gods were certainly on your side, I actually thought it was a deliberate outfit! The color attracts and redirects people from focusing on the length, and you pull it off well. I’ve never pulled off this look with a blazer, but I’ve done it with a long blouse and knee-high boots!

All of this is amazing. You look killer in the blazer – Zara knew you need it! I feel the same pull whenever I am near Zara too! If only there was one in Denver!
